I’ve left no stone unturned to find Top 10 Travel Destinations for 2020 for family travel. Some make the list because I believe they’ll be a good value in 2020. While others because they’re destinations that are still under the radar…at least for now!
If you haven’t planned your 2020 family holidays yet, there is a quiz at the end of the post. Take it to get insight into your family’s travel personality!
Here are my Top 10 Travel Destinations for 2020. They’re listed in no particular order.
Georgetown, Guyana
Situated on America’s North Atlantic Coast, this capital city of Guyana is culturally connected to the English-speaking Caribbean region. Georgetown is by far Guyana’s biggest city and a place all visitors will spend at least some of their time.
There’s little to see beyond a smattering of museums, churches, and colonial curiosities Georgetown is no backwater, and its restaurants and nightlife reflect that, lending a distinctly cosmopolitan edge to the general chaos of a modern Guyanese city. Click here to find out what you can do!
Visa Requirements
Guyana’s visa policy includes a list of many visa-exempt countries, so if your nation is on the list, you can travel visa-free and stay for up to 90 days! If not, you need to apply for a visa at the Guyana embassy. I recommend that you contact the issuing authority since it will be the most reliable source of information.

Hi Raquel,
Great picks! The best time to visit India & the Philippines is between Oct and March (avoid the summer and monsoon seasons). If you are okay with the cold then visit Iceland between November and Jan, get your white christmas and see the northern lights!

These are some really beautiful destinations! I definitely want to make it to Iceland, and Interlaken looks amazing too

You will fall in love with Interlaken and nearby Lauterbrunnen. Go between May & June, to avoid the summer tourist rush and get lower prices!
Hi Tarun, 2 destinations I would love to promote in 2020 are Bhutan and Portugal. I’ve been to Portugal but only covered Lisbon while cities such as Porto and Faro have a lot to offer a paradise for foodies and not too expensive. While Bhutan is opening up for tourists and few of my customers who have traveled to this destination were amazed by the natural beauty of this country.
Hi Glen,
Thanks for your comment. I must consider Bhutan for my future trips then 🙂
