Where to stay in Jamaica
Jamaica has a few main tourist areas where most of the resorts are located.
Runaway Bay: Close to the airport which means you’ll make it from the conveyor belt to the beach in no time, but keep in mind the serene sound of waves lapping at the shoreline will be interrupted by jets flying overhead.
Montego Bay: A good option for a first time trip to Jamaica, as this is where most of the action is and the most popular resort area.
Kingston: On the southeast coast of the island you’ll find Jamaica’s capital city of Kingston. With so much history, culture, and entertainment, Kingston exceeds the expectations of a capital city
Negril: This area boasts the country’s most stunning coastlines, and hotel prices reflect this.
Ocho Rios: Close to attractions like Dunn’s River Falls, this spot also serves as the island’s shopping hub.

In Jamaica, boredom will not be a problem with many of the all-inclusive hotels offering kids clubs, kiddie pools, and even mini-waterparks. Outside the hotel walls’ is where the real fun lies. Montego Bay is a tale of two cities! In the city, you will find the pretty gritty city, second only to Kingston in terms of status and chaos.
