Pigeon Paradise Introduce
Prepare to be utterly captivated upon entering Pigeon Paradise, a truly unique and breathtaking green space nestled at the intersection of 69th St. & Broadway in Woodside, Queens. While its name might initially conjure images of the common city pigeon, this remarkable park, located at 69th St. & Broadway, Woodside, NY 11377, USA, is celebrated by locals for being an extraordinary sanctuary that defies expectations. Far from a typical urban park, Pigeon Paradise offers an unparalleled experience, often described as "magical" and "breath-taking" by those who have visited. It's a place where you are genuinely "engulfed" by nature's beauty and a surprising diversity of avian life, making it a must-visit for anyone in the New York region seeking an exotic and profoundly beautiful outdoor encounter.
Unlike conventional parks, Pigeon Paradise is distinguished by its vibrant population of "the most beautiful birds you can find on Earth," as one enthusiastic reviewer put it. This isn't merely a green patch; it's an immersive avian spectacle where visitors can truly interact with a variety of feathered friends. The park's charm lies in its ability to transport you from the bustling streets of New York City into a tranquil haven where birds are not just observed from a distance, but are a vibrant and engaging part of the experience. It has quickly earned a reputation as "one of my new fave parks" for its unique appeal, offering a blend of natural beauty, engaging wildlife, and serene spots for quiet contemplation.
The concept behind Pigeon Paradise seems to embrace and elevate the presence of birds in an urban setting, transforming a simple park into a living, breathing exhibit of avian wonder. It's a testament to the unexpected beauty that can be found even in the heart of a metropolis. For those who appreciate nature, seek unique experiences, or simply want to discover a truly enchanting corner of Queens, Pigeon Paradise promises an unforgettable visit. It's the kind of place that sparks wonder and leaves a lasting impression, proving that paradise can indeed be found in the most surprising of places, right here in NYC.
Pigeon Paradise is strategically located at 69th St. & Broadway, Woodside, NY 11377, USA, placing it in a well-established and accessible neighborhood in Queens. This intersection is a notable landmark, making the park relatively easy to find for both locals and visitors. While one reviewer playfully noted it's "a little tricky to reach (unless you fly)," in reality, Woodside boasts excellent connectivity via New York City's extensive public transportation network.
For subway users, the park is conveniently located near the 69th Street station on the 7 train line, which offers direct service to Manhattan and other parts of Queens. This makes it an ideal destination for those who prefer to leave their cars at home. Additionally, several MTA bus routes operate along Broadway and nearby avenues, providing ample options for local travel within Woodside and connecting to surrounding neighborhoods.
For those who prefer to drive, street parking might be available in the vicinity, though as with most areas in New York City, it can be competitive. Visitors are encouraged to explore nearby public parking facilities if street parking proves challenging. The park's relatively small size (0.07 acres, classified as a Triangle/Plaza by NYC Parks) means it's a compact and easily navigable space once you arrive. Its location at a prominent intersection ensures high visibility and integration into the daily life of the Woodside community, inviting passersby to discover its unique charm. The mention of "beautiful trees" and "a variety of stonework" also suggests well-maintained pathways and resting spots, indicating good physical accessibility within the park itself, allowing visitors to comfortably "sit on a bench or just pecking around."

It's difficult to describe such an amazing experience by words. This magical place can explain itself by being engulfed into this breath taking park. You will be flocked with the most beautiful birds you can find on Earth. I highly recommend visiting this park as it's the most exotic and beautiful park in NYC.
Jan 19, 2019 · Rye BreadFor sure one of my new fave parks. A little tricky to reach (unless you fly) but beautiful trees, a variety of stonework, and all your feathered friends will make it a go to spot for sitting on a bench or just pecking around.

Pigeon pin bowling on Thursdays can get competitive, but is well attended. You can find plenty of treasures and swap old feathers at the Mite market each Sunday in the summer. Some ape throws old hot dog buns on the ground each morning--truly a paradise for pigeons.
Jun 27, 2024 · Julia BontempoI didn't have a picture of any pigeons from here, but i'm sure the ones in this photo have been here. Nice little spot to view the greatest bird in the world.
