The Albion Summit Hotel Reviews
I got married here in 2010 when it was the Grand Summit Hotel. It was amazing then. Now that Landmark hospitality took over, it got even better. The new design on the hall and the restaurant and bar is amazing. Food was great. Service was great. Really do not have a bad thing to say. I was very impressed and look forward to coming back!!!!! Keep it up!!!
Jan 29, 2025 · Dave LaGruthExtremely Disappointed – Not Worth the PriceOh my goodness — this has been one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve experienced, especially for the price I paid. I expected quality, comfort, and at the very least, basic amenities. What I got felt more like a condemned Super 8 that had long since been forgotten. To begin with, there is no way to get a simple canned soda. You’re forced to buy overpriced fountain drinks — which, to my frustration, were completely flat. That alone says a lot about attention to detail. And no microwave in the room? That meant having to bring in food from outside with no way to warm it up — something that turns a relaxing night into an unpleasant chore.Even more surprising: there were no phones in the room. Trying to schedule a wake-up call was more difficult than it should ever be in a hotel of this supposed standard. The room felt low-maintenance, outdated, and poorly equipped overall. It’s clear the amenities have not been maintained with care or concern for guest experience. To be fair, the water was hot — very hot — and the staff I encountered were genuinely kind and professional. They were the only bright part of the stay. But even great service can’t overcome an environment that clearly reflects an ownership team that is not client-facing or hospitality-focused.This place does not feel like a hotel. It feels like an afterthought. I came close to sleeping in my car just to escape the disappointment. This is not a place I’d recommend, and I definitely won’t be returning. Very unfortunate, especially for a hotel in New Jersey that should — and could — do so much better. With three more days to go, I’ve never been more happy to leave a place.
Apr 30, 2025 · Dave YoungVery challenging and difficult stay at this hotel. Do not book if you need even basic amenities. There is little to no wayfinding, so we couldn’t find the front desk when we entered. Turns out the “front desk” is a small counter in the back of the restaurant by the kitchen. And without wayfinding we didn’t know which direction to walk to find our room when we exited the elevator on the fourth floor. When we entered our room - described as “A Presidential Suite” - a musty smell punched us in the nose (like the room might have mold). The young person who checked us in at the from desk told us we could order room service, but failed to mention there is no phone in the room to dial the kitchen. So we called the main number from a mobile and after 20-something rings nobody answered. My wife hoofed it back down to the front desk to get service. BTW - you can’t pay for room service as a room charge. They require you pay with a credit card. It’s like this hotel is a first rough draft of an organization created by someone who’s never operated (or stayed in) a hotel.Needless to say, this is not a 4-star hotel as advertised. By definition, it’s not even a 3-star hotel. Any low budget chain hotel will provide you with a better experience.
May 31, 2025 · Frank PattersonI can't express how grateful I am! Tiffany and Theresa were amazing with my elderly parents, who are 80. I was really anxious about not being able to travel with them, but my parents said these lovely ladies were incredibly kind and helpful. I'm so thankful! They mentioned the room was spotless and pretty spacious too. They're looking forward to trying out the restaurant as well. It's just so heartwarming to hear such positive things from my parents. Huge thanks to both of you! PAUL P
Mar 03, 2025 · Doc ReenThe room was very clean- maid service even on Christmas Day! Bathroom well-equipped with on demand hot water. The property has a luxury vibe with many spaces renovated with top quality materials. We will be back when the roof top bar opens. Part of the restaurant has a kid friendly space.Very nice continental breakfast and 24/7 delicious coffee!
