The Lin Beach House Reviews
I was blown away by how spacious my room was — it was much larger than I expected, and the huge shower was such a treat. One of the best parts was the private terrace; it felt like my own little sanctuary and was absolutely gorgeous. The location is perfect — tucked away just enough to be quiet and peaceful, but still a short walk or quick drive to Main Street. It’s also just a short stroll to one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to.Check-in was incredibly easy and straightforward, which made the whole experience feel seamless and relaxed. This place really exceeded my expectations. I would absolutely stay here again!
May 26, 2025 · Michelle GreeneI couldn't think of a better place for the perfect mid-winter get away. The Lin Beach House feels like your dream "home away from home" and the staff and accommodation encourages you to make it your own, from the DIY aperitivo bar to the spacious study and bar lounge which have great wifi for remote working needs. Not to mention the breakfast nook which offered the BEST chocolate chip banana bread I EVER had!! Our room, The Jane Suite, exceeded expectations -- high ceilings, cozy fireplace, one of the most comfortable beds and linens I have ever experienced and a lovely tub and shower in the bathroom. The location is ideal as it offers the option to walk to town (in case you feel like indulging in libations during dinner!) and close to the beaches as well. I cannot wait to visit in the summer and see the grounds in peak season but I have to say, I'm not sure it can beat our cozy winter stay :-)
Feb 24, 2025 · Juliana ColangeloDisclaimer, I never really write reviews but I just had to because this feels more like a love letter to The Lin then anything else! My husband and I have stayed at The Lin twice, each time really feeling more special then the last. If you are like us and live hectic lives in the city and need to get away, find some peace with your partner and unwind in what feels like a second home, seriously y’all The LIn is it.The first time we found this little gem we went early summer. Once booked, the communication from the beginning with Leslie was immediate, warm, and thorough with all the directions and instructions on check in procedures day upon arrival. The drive east was beautiful, great farmer stands to pick up seasonal fruits, veg and baked goods. When you pull up to The Lin you realize how beautiful the beach house really is. It feels historically Long Island, with all the rocking chairs on the porch, and a fig tree with actually friggin ripe figs growing from it (I plucked a few and took some to the room). Upon entering to the left there is a beautiful den like area, to the right the bar with booths (one has a Photo Booth and ya girl was not shy go crazy it’s fun) a fire place with some seating to cozy up around it which we took advantage of later in our stay but I was excited to check out the room. We stayed in Jane which was absolutely spectacular. The room was massive with high ceilings, intentionally furnished and had a fire place (not needed but asthetically appreciated)! The bed, a so comfortable a California king. But my favorite part of the room was the breakfast nook/balcony gazebo not sure what to call it. We had our own private balcony along the whole side of the building that extended into a small covered gazebo, where we had for the next two days our small farmers market breakfast of baked goods and contraband figs lol. Oh also the bathtub. Not all rooms have a bathtub if you want to soak Book Jane.Things we loved about this trip ***-Complimentary eye masks-Aperitive hour- everyday you can go downstairs to the bar and hang out with other guests who are staying at the Lin for a -complimentary Spritz- so dope so chic-5 min walk away from 67 step Beach (this is more of a rocky beach then a sandy beach so bring swimming shoes) BUT the Lin will let you borrow beach chairs to bring so just ask Leslie or Paul!Second stay, since we were HOOKED to The Lin at this point we decided to come for the fall foliage. Leslie and Paul were so thrilled to have us back. This time we stayed in Bianca. This room felt perfect for the season as it’s carpeted and this time we got to use the fireplace which was awesome! This room faced inwards towards the properties lawn and fountain where they have the fire pit, which made for quieter stay but bare in mind no tub and a more intimate porch. But the shower in Bianca is something out of the future and not to be missed. Definitely something any couple would enjoy together ;) Since the weather was chilly we took advantage of visiting the Matchbook distillery. We decided to go with create your own gin CYOG. The experience was friggin dope. We learned so much, had a blast, we got to mix all different flavors and botanicals together. I had no clue what I was doing but it didn’t matter because Kurtis the master distiller made it so much fun. I felt like a mad gin scientist! We left pretty tipsy with two bottles of our own gin that we plan on gifting friends for Christmas. So worth it I plan on trying all the different immersive experiences they offer at the distillery each time we go. So cool.Leslie, Paul, Kurtis,Thank you so much for making our experience so special and unique each stay. Orlando and I can’t wait to become regulars and hopefully friends with you all at the Lin. What you guys ppl have created is truly so genuine and really fills us with joy knowing we have somewhere to escape to. A beach house we’d like to call a second home.We can’t wait to come back Summer 2025!Sincerely,Taylor and Orlando
Dec 23, 2024 · taylor adornoVisited in the off season, and the place was a ghost town. We had a snafu with our first room and were moved. Still, the bathrooms are in dire need of upgrades and some of the furniture is more yard sale than stylish vintage. Perks were the morning pastries, but wish they had real coffee, not instant coffee pods. We stayed the night of a PawPaw pop up, which was the highlight of the weekend and very convenient. Otherwise, I cannot say that I recommend this place (in the off season).
Nov 24, 2024 · Stephanie HysekLoved our stay at The Lin! Just a 5-10 min walk to the beach with our provided cute beach chairs & towels! Unbeatable. The room was comfortable and the hotel had lovely amenities like free coffee & pastries (brought to your room if you want!), and complimentary cocktail hour. A little bit of a walk into town, overall a great choice for Greenport vacation!
