Atlantic Motor Inn Introduce
The Atlantic Motor Inn, located at 1768 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11213, and reachable at (718) 771-7171 or +1 718-771-7171, is presented here as a "Scenic Spot" for local users. When considering a "Scenic Spot" within the context of a motel, it's important to approach this category with an understanding that the "scenery" might be less about traditional natural beauty and more about the unique, unfiltered urban experience it offers. This establishment caters to a specific segment of the market, often prioritizing practicality and immediate availability over conventional luxury or extensive amenities. The objective introduction below is based solely on the provided customer reviews and general understanding of such establishments, aiming to offer a comprehensive, albeit candid, overview to potential users.
The environment of the Atlantic Motor Inn, based on customer accounts, is characterized by its urban location on Atlantic Avenue, a major thoroughfare in Brooklyn. This setting inherently means proximity to city life, including potential noise. Reviews explicitly mention "noise from the trains," indicating that the motel is situated in an area with active public transportation. The interior environment, as described by customers, suggests a more utilitarian rather than luxurious aesthetic. Mentions of "bedbugs," an "uncomfortable" bed, and "low water pressure" for the toilet point to an environment that may not prioritize comfort or cleanliness to a high degree. The "smelled like Swisher Sweets cigars" indicates a distinctive olfactory aspect to the environment, possibly due to smoking within the premises. The lack of "soundproofing" is a significant environmental factor, allowing "intimate activities live every day" from adjacent rooms to be clearly audible, creating a very public auditory experience within private spaces. The review highlighting a "parade of ladies of the night in and out of the hotel" paints a picture of a bustling, active, and potentially transient environment, reflecting a specific urban demographic. This environment, while not conventionally serene or picturesque, offers a raw and unfiltered view of urban living, which for some, might be considered a unique "scenic" or experiential aspect of their stay.
As a "Scenic Spot" providing corresponding services or goods for sale, the Atlantic Motor Inn's services appear to be highly streamlined, catering to short-term and immediate accommodation needs. The most prominent service, explicitly mentioned by a customer, is the option to "pay by the hour." This feature clearly positions the motel as a provider of flexible, short-stay accommodation, differing significantly from traditional hotels that typically offer nightly rates. This hourly payment model is a key "service" that defines its market niche. While direct sales of extensive goods are not explicitly detailed, the nature of such establishments suggests limited or no in-room amenities. The review stating "There were no amenities provided" confirms this. This means guests should anticipate bringing their own toiletries and comforts. Another service feature is the "key card" system, although a customer's experience of having to "recharge the key card every time I went out" indicates a potential operational inefficiency or a specific policy that users should be aware of. The telephone numbers, (718) 771-7171 and +1 718-771-7171, serve as a direct point of contact for inquiries and bookings, representing a fundamental service. While the customer experience with staff interaction, specifically being told to "leave" without apology due to a "mistake," suggests potential shortcomings in customer service, the availability of a direct contact number remains a service feature for initial engagement.
The features of the Atlantic Motor Inn, as gleaned from customer reviews, are quite distinct and contribute to its unique character as an urban "Scenic Spot." The most striking feature is its "amazingly awful" reputation, which, while negative, highlights its memorable and unfiltered nature. The availability of "hourly rates" is a defining feature, catering to a specific type of clientele seeking very short-term stays. The presence of "ladies of the night" suggests a particular clientele and a vibrant, albeit unconventional, social scene around the establishment. The persistent "smell like Swisher Sweets cigars" is a sensory feature that impacts the guest experience. The lack of basic comfort, as indicated by an "uncomfortable" bed and "low water pressure" in the toilet, along with "bedbugs," are critical features that prospective guests should be aware of. The absence of "soundproofing" is another significant characteristic, leading to a highly audible shared environment where "intimate activities" from neighboring rooms are easily heard. This auditory feature creates a very specific, immersive urban experience. The "key card" system, while functional, presents a minor inconvenience with its frequent recharging requirement. The motel's overall profile, though presented negatively by reviewers, positions it as a raw, no-frills, and possibly challenging stay, offering a direct encounter with certain facets of Brooklyn's urban reality.
For promotional information, approaching the Atlantic Motor Inn as a "Scenic Spot" requires a very specific and transparent strategy, aligning expectations with the reality described by customers. Rather than conventional luxury, promotions would focus on its niche offerings. Messaging could highlight its "hourly rates" as a flexible and convenient option for those needing very short-term accommodation in the area. For those seeking an unvarnished urban experience, the motel could be framed as a place to encounter the authentic pulse of Brooklyn, though this would need careful phrasing. Promotional materials would need to be extremely cautious, perhaps subtly hinting at its unique atmosphere without explicitly detailing the negative aspects. The phone numbers (718) 771-7171 and +1 718-771-7171 are crucial for direct bookings and inquiries, emphasizing immediate availability. The location on Atlantic Avenue, a major thoroughfare, could be promoted for its accessibility to certain parts of Brooklyn, even if the immediate surroundings are not conventionally scenic. Any promotional information must be careful not to misrepresent the experience. Given the overwhelmingly negative reviews, a highly objective and perhaps minimalist approach would be necessary, focusing strictly on functional aspects like location and flexible booking options for specific, no-frills needs. The challenge would be to attract a clientele that prioritizes hourly rates or basic shelter without amenities, while managing expectations based on the candid customer feedback. It's a "Scenic Spot" for those interested in a deeply urban, unfiltered, and potentially gritty travel narrative.

Atlantic Motor Inn Reviews
This accommodation was extremely disgusting. Bedbugs bit my friend’s legs about 20 times, and the noise from the trains nearly drove me insane. Although I slept, the bed was so uncomfortable that my entire body ached. The toilet had such low water pressure that even urine wouldn’t flush properly. The soundproofing was nonexistent; I could hear the couple in the next room engaging in intimate activities live every day. There were no amenities provided. I had to recharge the key card every time I went out. In the early morning, someone knocked on my door, telling me to leave; when I questioned why, they merely said it was a mistake without any apology. I’d rather sleep on the subway floor than stay here again.
Jan 01, 2025 · La UraHoly crap!! This place is amazingly awful. There's a parade of ladies of the night in and out of the hotel. The room smelled like Swisher Sweets cigars. You can pay by the hour... What's weird is that it's an expensive stay for what the hotel is. We checked in, went to the room and immediately left.
Dec 29, 2024 · Mayra ValleI really dislike when these 2 star hole in the all motels want to act like 5 star ritzy hotels ….. They are checking in every guest they walk in and are now putting alarms on staircase doors.
Oct 12, 2024 · Sharon JosephHorrible experience I called before getting there for a short stay they were available I get there an hour later there is a 45 minute wait. I wait the 45 minutes for it to be 30 more minutes time pass book the room for the room to have no batteries or AC working go downstairs to the front to complain Respectfully they say someone soon come up soon to them is 30 minutes 40 minutes tops. They come with batteries that barely work and thankfully I figured out the AC because the gentleman that came with the batteries didn’t even suggest to fix the AC he act as if like we had germs the way he passed the batteries . So waiting for someone else to come back for the AC to work would’ve taken up my whole short time stay to top it all off the gentleman walked in our room because he didn’t hear a response while it was time to check out. This is unacceptable
