Beacon Hermitage Reviews
We had a wonderful stay here in the fall. The property is peaceful and charming - perfect for a cozy fall weekend away from the city. Our hosts were lovely - chatting with Jim over tea in the morning or a glass of wine in the late afternoon was a highlight of our trip. We will be back!
Feb 27, 2025 · Dylan O'KeefeOur stay at Beacon Hermitage was nothing short of cozy and delightful. We very much appreciated being allowed to leave our bags before our room was ready, and we began our hike up to the beautiful peak of Beacon Mountain, which happens to have a trailhead steps away from the property. The home is also very close to downtown Beacon, allowing for a very cheap Uber or Lyft. The property is filled with lovely home and garden decor with stunning views of the surrounding woods and the Hudson River. In the morning, we were greeted by Jim and a delicious assortment of breakfast pastries. Jim was so kind and welcoming into his home, and we could not have asked for a better stay. Thank you so much Jim and Joe!
Nov 11, 2024 · Jacob SteinYou will feel right at home in this beautiful house, decorated with care and well located in nature at the foot of magical trails.Jim and Joe are kind, thoughtful hosts and will welcome you with warmth in their loving home while also respecting your privacy (and if you share conversations with them, you will discover interesting and kind hearted people). The rooms are comfortable, impeccably clean and well equipped as well as the bathroom, living room and reception. We especially enjoyed walking around the property and the delicious breakfast! The house truly has a soul. Thank you!
Sep 26, 2024 · Elisalex d’AlbisThis was our first time being in the Hudson Valley. I think if we were cycling, kayaking or hiking, this location would be an excellent base. The room was clean, cheery and had a homey atmosphere. The host was very friendly and helpful. If you are there also to spend some hours relaxing, the grounds are zen-like. Three couples here for 4 days, would have a great time. Breakfast is simple but the pastries are made in house and better than anything in the local bakeries. My only problem was spotting the driveway in the dark.
Sep 26, 2024 · Harold SerwerMy husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hermitage. It was a lovely and experience! The grounds are filled with statues and sculptures, lovely gardens and contemplative areas. The floor to ceiling paintings in the foyer make you feel as if you have walked into a beautiful European art museum. The rooms are comfortable, nicely appointed and immaculate. Our host, Jim, was very attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed. Highly recommend it!
