Corona Hotel Introduce
The Corona Hotel, situated at 112-23 Roosevelt Avenue in the vibrant neighborhood of Corona, New York, serves as a practical and accessible lodging option for a diverse range of travelers. While not a traditional "Scenic Spot" in the vein of a park or natural preserve, within the context of a hotel as a scenic spot for travelers, its strategic location and functional offerings make it a noteworthy point of interest for those visiting Queens and the wider New York City area. Its primary appeal lies in its convenience and its ability to act as a launchpad for exploring nearby attractions and accessing transportation hubs.
The environment surrounding the Corona Hotel is characteristic of a bustling urban landscape in Queens. Located on Roosevelt Avenue, a major thoroughfare, the hotel is immersed in a lively commercial district. This means that guests will find themselves amidst numerous businesses and vendors, contributing to a vibrant street atmosphere. While some might perceive this as a busy area, a past guest noted that "That actually made me feel safer because the streets were not dark and quiet," suggesting a sense of security from the constant activity. The neighborhood is known for its diverse culinary scene, with many places to eat within easy walking distance, offering a wide array of international cuisines. The hotel's proximity to public transportation, specifically the 7 subway line, is a significant environmental advantage, connecting guests directly to Manhattan and other parts of Queens. This urban environment, while not providing sprawling green spaces, offers the convenience of city living and immediate access to various amenities.
The Corona Hotel provides a straightforward set of services designed to offer a comfortable and efficient stay for its guests. Key amenities include free WiFi and wired internet access in all rooms, catering to both leisure and business travelers who need to stay connected. The hotel features a 24-hour front desk, ensuring that guests can check in or receive assistance at any time of day or night. Limited onsite parking is available, and street parking is also an option, addressing a common concern for guests traveling by car. A business center is provided, offering facilities for those needing to work or attend to business matters. Other convenient services include daily housekeeping, ATM/banking services on-site, a vending machine for snacks and drinks, luggage storage, and tour/ticket assistance, which can help guests navigate local attractions. While some sources mention a complimentary breakfast, more recent information indicates that coffee service is available, and guests might consider exploring nearby dining options. The hotel aims to provide essential comforts for a functional stay.
Several features make the Corona Hotel a viable choice for specific types of travelers. Its most prominent feature is its exceptional proximity to major attractions. The hotel is located just one block from Citi Field, making it an ideal choice for baseball fans attending Mets games. Similarly, it's only one block from the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, home of the US Open, making it incredibly convenient for tennis enthusiasts. LaGuardia Airport is also just a mile away, making it a highly practical option for travelers with early flights or late arrivals. The hotel's immediate vicinity to the 7 subway line is another significant feature, offering direct and easy access to Manhattan's iconic landmarks like Times Square, Central Park, and the Empire State Building. Room amenities generally include air conditioning, flat-panel TVs with satellite channels, private bathrooms with shower/tub combinations and free toiletries, hair dryers, desks, and iron/ironing boards. Some rooms are reported to have a laptop workspace and even Jacuzzi tubs, though it's advisable to confirm specific room features upon booking. The hotel accepts credit cards and debit cards for payment, with cash generally not accepted.
From a promotional standpoint, the Corona Hotel primarily markets itself on its unparalleled location and affordability. The website emphasizes its direct access to Citi Field, the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, and LaGuardia Airport, positioning it as the go-to accommodation for events or convenient airport stays. The "Neighborhood" section on their official website highlights the proximity to the subway, making New York City's attractions easily reachable. For budget-conscious travelers seeking a clean and functional place to stay, the hotel's "reasonable price" is a strong selling point, as echoed by a satisfied customer who found it "the best hotel that I could find at a reasonable price that wasn't run down" in expensive NYC. Promotional materials would also highlight essential amenities like free WiFi and the 24-hour front desk. While some customer reviews indicate past issues with service or specific room conditions, the general sentiment regarding cleanliness and location is positive. The hotel could further promote its accessibility to diverse dining options within walking distance, appealing to guests who enjoy exploring local cuisine. For those attending events at Citi Field, emphasizing the hotel's parking availability could be a significant draw, potentially saving guests on event parking fees. Overall, the Corona Hotel leverages its strategic location and practical offerings to appeal to travelers prioritizing convenience and value in the bustling Queens borough.

This people kicked me out the hotel at 10 pm. When I payed overnight......because I called and complained that I was being mistreated by the cleaning later ...they said they would refund me my money ....but the manager said he doesn't care that I should just sue him ......when I had to to spent overnight in the street..meanwhile I had already payed in the hotel because I didn't want to spend overnight in the street...Now I am so scar to go in the train because I had to go spent the night in the train mta...even though I had payed the hotel in full
Mar 27, 2025 · silvia sanangoI had a nice stay here. The only negative is the price but NY hotels are so expensive! This was the best hotel that I could find at a reasonable price that wasn't run down. It is very close to Laguardia airport. The room and bathroom was clean. I had no issue with check-in (I prepaid). It's not high end hotel, but it is good for an overnight or weekend stay. It's not in a bad neighborhood, there are just many businesses and vendors up and down the street. That actually made me feel safer because the streets were not dark and quiet. There are many places to eat within walking distance. The train is only a few minutes walk from the location. I would stay here again. I was pleasantly surprised.
Oct 26, 2024 · Tony JonesCheck in was easy. Location to LGA great. Right next to 7 train and neighborhood is fine. If you're sheltered or scared of your own shadow the neighborhood might scare you. People here are minding their business and aren't thinking about us. The room was clean and the only downside was no microwave or fridge in room. If you love Mexican food you'll be in heaven..plenty in this area. Extremely close to citi field but a good 30-40 min train ride to Manhattan. Would stay again....oh yeah no sign of bedbugs or roaches!

May 26, 2025 · R ZI got this hotel picked randomly through Hotwire website booking and I was skeptical of the reviews before coming here. But the rooms are pretty neat and well maintained as well. The train station is just a 5min walk from this place. However the area seems a bit sketchy and unsafe if you’re a tourist. Also I felt like I was living in Mexico or in a South American country. Plus I could hear faint sounds of nearby train traveling. Luckily I got a backside room facing the parking lot.
