Extended Stay America - Secaucus - New York City Area Reviews
We spent 10 nights here during our New York visit. The hotel is not bad, I would say it's average. The grab 'n go breakfast was not much, a piece of muffin and cereal bar plus coffee. The location is good, the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Bus 320 goes directly to New York city, Manhattan in about 15 min. The room was a bit old, but clean. The pull out bed was quite bad to sleep on. Although they have a strict indoor smoking policy, the whole floor was smelled of weed. Overall it was not too bad, value for money.
Apr 30, 2025 · Kaszas Csilla GolyakneStates pool on hotels.com and also sign on the wall that says pool.... no pool for at least 2 years front desk staff said. No apologizes or anything and pretty sure she was the manager. Never been to a hotel that you need to ask for dishes and utensils, nothing in room had to ask for it. As seen in picture hallways are dirty and not cleaned the whole 3 days we were there. Plus when it rained a big puddle in the hallway.Fire alarm goes off in the morning. 5 time since Thursday. No guidance from hotel or their staff.Only good thing about this place was that the location was great. Bus stop right in front, restaurants and walmart just a few minute walk away.
Apr 13, 2025 · Robin SimcoeThis hotel is an unmitigated disaster. The pull out couch was so uncomfortable that I’m pretty sure it’s in breach of the Geneva Convention. Not sure why there is a dishwasher in the room when the hotel does not provide any kitchen essentials like cups, utensils or plates. The king size bed was quite soft and not very comfortable but passable. The room was clean and didn’t smell funky but our room was right next to the busy street and the street noise was loud all through the night. The fridge was clean but it made so much noise with the clanking and groaning that you’d think it was about to become self aware. The TV in the living room didn’t work and despite promises for it to be fixed every day of our 3 day stay, it never was. The “continental” breakfast was probably the saddest thing I’ve ever seen - coffee, tea, instant oatmeal and pre wrapped tiny blueberry muffins that are full of sugar and preservatives. The front desk receptionist was friendly and helpful, although clearly overworked and frazzled. The ONLY redeeming aspect about this hotel is its location. It is right next to the bus stop. The 320 bus goes to NY @$4.70 pp and that bus comes every 10-15 minutes. The location is also close to many restaurants which are within walking distance.
Apr 04, 2025 · Karen G.We only stayed overnight 3/28/2025, but the guy was very nice when we got there at almost 12am. He explained why he needed my card and ensured me I wouldn't get charged, which i didn't. The room was nice and it was quiet. The bed was nice, not really hard. The shower was great. Didn't really hadn't an option for breakfast, just a muffin and coffee or tea. The girl, Shaney, they checked me out was nice the next morning I love how close it was to Manhattan. I would give it another go and stay there again. See how they handle families.
Apr 10, 2025 · Brittany BenjaminThe one star really speaks volumes I've never been so disgusted with a hotel management there. I was swapped to 3 different rooms each room the bed had stains some yellow some black and even lipstick on one of themBe warned and always double check your sheets pillow cases etcI asked the manager if she would sleep on a nasty cover like this and her response was yesJust so disgusting. Manager couldn't admit it was nasty so she tried to tell me yellow soaked stains were from the sheets wearing down ??? Excuse me your trying to say that those big yellow stains are from the sheets getting thinner we left that place so fast if you need to book in that area there's so many hotels so much better then this one
