Hotel 1080 Introduce
Located at 1080 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY 11221, USA, Hotel 1080 presents itself as an accommodation option in a dynamic area of New York. The hotel can be reached via phone at (718) 715-4850 or mobile at +1 718-715-4850. As a hotel listed under the "Scenic Spot" platform category, it aims to serve visitors looking to explore the local environment and attractions, potentially offering a base from which to experience the unique character of Brooklyn.
When considering the environment of Hotel 1080, it's important to set expectations based on its urban location. Broadway in Brooklyn is a bustling thoroughfare, and as such, guests should anticipate a vibrant city atmosphere. Reviews suggest that the immediate neighborhood, while offering proximity to various aspects of Brooklyn life, is described by some as "very rough." This indicates that while the hotel might be conveniently located for exploring certain areas, the immediate surroundings may not appeal to all travelers. The term "Scenic Spot" for this category suggests an emphasis on local exploration, and visitors staying at Hotel 1080 would be well-positioned to delve into the cultural tapestry of Brooklyn, including its diverse neighborhoods, street art, and emerging entertainment venues. However, the hotel's placement within a busy urban landscape means that tranquility might not be its primary offering. Furthermore, a recurring theme in guest feedback is the significant noise levels, particularly from the metro and a nightclub directly beneath the hotel. This suggests that the hotel's environment is characterized by constant urban sounds, which could impact a guest's ability to rest. The presence of a nightclub playing loud music with a powerful bass, vibrating rooms until the early hours, is a notable environmental factor that prospective guests should be aware of, especially if a quiet night's sleep is a priority.
Regarding services, Hotel 1080 offers basic amenities expected from a budget-friendly establishment. Customer reviews highlight that cleaning staff and those responsible for luggage delivery were generally friendly, indicating a positive aspect of the hotel's human interaction. Rooms are also reported to be clean, which is a fundamental service expectation. However, some aspects of the service have been met with negative feedback. The reception service, advertised as 24-hour, has reportedly experienced inconsistencies, with guests arriving to find no one on-site for check-in for a period. This suggests that while a 24-hour service is promoted, its execution may vary. Another point of concern for guests has been the check-in process itself, with reports of strict ID policies that can lead to difficulties for groups where the booking name doesn't match the ID presented. Transparency regarding additional charges has also been an issue, with guests reporting unexpected fees, such as an extra $15 per night, being levied upon check-in without clear prior notification or justification. For a "Scenic Spot" platform category, efficient and transparent service is crucial to ensure a smooth experience for visitors eager to explore. Inconsistent check-in and unexpected charges could detract from the overall positive experience of exploring the local area.
The features of Hotel 1080, based on available information, primarily revolve around its room offerings and general facilities. Guests have noted that rooms are generally clean, which is a positive feature. However, a significant discrepancy has been observed between the room sizes depicted in online photos and their actual dimensions, with guests reporting rooms being "way smaller than in the photos." This indicates that while the rooms are functional, they may not offer the spaciousness suggested by promotional imagery. The hotel's location, while contributing to the "Scenic Spot" appeal due to its proximity to Brooklyn attractions, also brings with it the notable feature of being situated above a nightclub. This unique feature means that guests, particularly on lower floors, are directly exposed to loud music and bass vibrations, which can persist until the early hours of the morning. For a hotel operating within the "Scenic Spot" category, a key feature should be providing a comfortable and restorative environment after a day of exploring. The noise issue, however, directly contradicts this, making it a prominent feature that impacts guest comfort significantly. Furthermore, while the hotel's location might be good in terms of exploring the area, the overwhelming noise from the nightclub and metro diminishes the overall value of this feature for many guests.
Promotional information, while not explicitly provided as part of the prompt's input, can be inferred from the customer reviews. The hotel's online presence, particularly through platforms like Booking.com, plays a crucial role in attracting guests. However, a concerning piece of promotional feedback suggests that guests were "not allowed to leave the review after checking out" on Booking.com. If true, this raises questions about the transparency and reliability of the promotional information presented on such platforms, as it may not fully reflect the range of guest experiences. For a "Scenic Spot" category, where user-generated content and authentic reviews are often highly valued by prospective visitors, such an alleged practice could significantly impact trust and future bookings. Any promotional messaging should ideally focus on the hotel's genuine strengths, such as the friendliness of certain staff members and the cleanliness of rooms, while also being transparent about potential downsides like noise levels and room size variations. Without direct promotional materials, it's difficult to outline specific offers or unique selling propositions. However, based on the reviews, any promotional efforts would need to address the discrepancies in room size depictions, clarify check-in procedures and potential extra charges, and most importantly, transparently communicate the significant noise issues to manage guest expectations effectively. For a hotel associated with "Scenic Spot" exploration, clear and honest communication is paramount to ensure visitors have a positive experience, both within the hotel and as they explore the surrounding area.

Hotel 1080 Reviews
The cleaning ladies and staff who was in charge of luggage delivery were all very friendly. The room was clean.Apart from the above, I'm afraid I don't have any positive feedback to offer. We booked through booking.com and were charged not only the price shown on booking.com but also an extra $15 per night while checking in and without any reason. It should be a 24-hour reception service hotel, but when we arrived at around 7 pm, we were told no one would be on site to check us in for another 20 minutes. Luckily, we checked in successfully half an hour later, while another group was rejected just because their friends booked the room for them and they didn’t bring the ID of the friend with them. (Who’s gonna hold other people’s photo IDs with them?)The room size is way smaller than in the photos and the neighborhood is very rough. Don't trust the photos. The noise was definitely killing us. If you don't mind sleeping with the metro noise all night and feel sleepy in the morning, then go for it!Never trust the Booking.com review because we were not allowed to leave the review after checking out.
May 24, 2025 · Kay CHENRooms were fine and location good in terms of exploring the area but the hotel is on top of a night club that plays extremely loud music with a powerful bass that kept my family and I on the 3rd and 4th floors awake until nearly 3am. The bass was literally vibrating so hard it moved things in the rooms! Since the main reason to have a hotel is so you can sleep I would strongly discourage you from staying here
Mar 31, 2025 · Christine ErmgassenWe had some issues with our room. I don't believe those issues are a reflection of the rest of the hotel, so I won't recount them here. However, we spoke with Jessica at the front desk regarding our issues and she was absolutely incredible. She was very understanding and went above and beyond to make it right. Thank you so much Jessica!
Apr 18, 2025 · JennaDont pass on this if you really really need a convenient place to stay near Manhattan. This one is very close to a train station and overall clean and newly renovated. I definitely felt that they are trying hard to treat their customers well.Needed a last minute hotel in New York that has it's own bathroom for a fair price. I am surprised with the cleanliness of this hotel as well as the service. They clearly are trying very hard to be a good hotel in New York. The rooms are very basic but clean. Just take note that the hotel has a VERY loud bar in the weekends at its ground floor which will make it nearly impossible to sleep if you are located in the lower floors. I was located in the high floor and I could still slightly hear the bar downstairs that was playing loud music through 2am. This didn't bother me very much because I brought earplugs because I anticipated the noise. The hotel hallways and elevator look newly renovated too.The Myrtle Ave Station in Brooklyn, metro station it was closest too, is in my opinion a dirty place. It's an 8 minute walk so it was fine. Just practice common sense when going in this area of Brooklyn. The reputation of the area is shady and you can definitely see some shady characters around. But if you stay aware of your surroundings and understand that this is Brooklyn, you'll definitely be just fine. The hotel made me feel very safe. The receptionist was kind and acknowledged our needs.Overall it was a good stay. It was better than I expected. What matters most to me is that it was clean.
May 31, 2025 · Maria ClaraHotel 1080 is situated right next to the M Train which passes just a few feet from the front of the hotel. My room overlooked the track and it was very noisy with trains passing by very regularly late into the night. . The hotel is generally very run down The corridors are old and dim although the room itself was clean and bright. There are no hotel facilities to speak of and I found the noise from nearby rooms very annoying. Even though the rate was low I definitely will not be returning.
