Joseph C. Sauer Park Reviews
A renovated playground with inclusive playstructures for toddlers and older kids. A unique part about the playstructures is that there are many music components that I have not seen else where. The sitting area is quite large. There are also two water fountains and bottle refilled (although not working during COVID). Overall a great addition to the neighborhood and definitely one of the best playgrounds in Manhattan so expect a crowd.
Jan 23, 2021 · Chia-Yi ChengThis park always seems to have its gates locked for the week I was working in the neighborhood. Is this not a public park? Or is it just for the elites who gentrified the neighborhood? Not inviting or public-friendly at all.
May 16, 2025 · Codey PineroBeen here a few times. It’s relatively clean and engaging for kids 3-12yrs old
Jul 21, 2022 · Ania ZiebaThe park overall is beautiful, it needs a few more things geared towards toddlers. The layout is nice, there's a little grass layout area, there are benches all around, 2 swing areas, a slide for toddlers and a slide for bigger kids; there's even a little water sprinkler area with mini bridge.Sadly the grownups/childcare don't monitor their kids, i.e. the kids go from being in the sprinklers to getting on the slides or swings and wetting them up leaving the non sprinkler dry kids without a swing or slide to get on. I wish there was someone there to monitor this situation.
May 21, 2021 · Jules GillThis is my favorite playground in the neighborhood. It is very hit or miss with social opportunities there, if can be packed (particularly after nearby school dismissal) or even empty (which I confess, I sometimes LOVE... especially if you have child under 3.
