Montville Dog Park stands as a testament to community dedication to providing excellent recreational spaces for our four-legged family members. Established by a collaborative effort of Montville Township residents and local business owners, the park's ongoing mission is to create a secure, clean, and engaging environment where well-behaved dogs can exercise and socialize without impacting private property or local wildlife. It's a place where canine citizens can truly be themselves, burning off energy and forging friendships, all while their owners enjoy a sense of community and peace of mind.
The park is approximately three-quarters of an acre, thoughtfully divided into two distinct fenced-in areas. This careful design ensures that dogs of all sizes can play comfortably and safely. Whether you have a playful pup or a large, energetic breed, Montville Dog Park aims to cater to their specific needs, providing a dedicated space where they can interact with others their size or enjoy the broader area if they prefer to mingle with larger companions. This separation is a key feature that contributes to a harmonious and safe play environment for all park visitors.
Beyond the physical space, Montville Dog Park embodies a commitment to cleanliness and safety. One of its most notable features is the use of pea gravel/stones as the ground surface. This choice is deliberate, aimed at preventing muddy paws and maintaining a sanitary environment. This innovative surfacing ensures that even after a rainy day, your dog can enjoy the park without bringing a mess back to your car or home. It’s a practical consideration that significantly enhances the user experience, distinguishing Montville Dog Park from many other facilities in the region.

In the heart of Montville, this dog park serves as a valuable resource for locals, promoting healthier pets and people by encouraging regular exercise and social interaction. Montville Dog Park Reviews
I was in Montville visiting family for Thanksgiving with my dog and was hoping to run my pooch around a bit but we're not allowed in. As we drove by it was empty. Why bother creating an amenity if you're going to work so hard to make it difficult to access. Really who are you keeping out of your empty dog run? Sad.
Nov 30, 2024 · Christopher CummingsGreat Park .Very clean .No need to worry aboutMuddy paws since they use gravel. The best partall dogs need to be vaccinated yearly !!!
Apr 03, 2022 · Deborah RatnoffToday was my first day at the park after applying and I can truly say that its the best dog park I have been to. To the other people saying that their are too many hurdles they just arent taking the time to collect the info they should already have when owning a dog. The park needs a dog license, rabies proof, proof your dog is fixed, recent fecal test and distemper shots. All things your dog should already have as a responsible dog owner. I have been to many of the dog parks in the area and they do not compare. My dog loves this place and she already has a dog friend she looks forward to see when we keep going back.
Aug 02, 2019 · Fabian FloresOK park if you pay for it, all gravel no grass... I was not allowed in; but there is a good size grass patch outside of the park not fenced in I was able to let the dog play fetch.Do not go if you are not a member.
Nov 01, 2021 · Bryan RauchI can honestly say it is empty 99 percent of the time. Too many hurdles to join, so I never bothered. I’ll just go to north caldwell dog park or have the dogs stay in my own yard.
