Peachtree Suites Introduce
When planning a visit to Jersey City or looking for a convenient base to explore the greater New York City metropolitan area from New Jersey, finding accommodation that balances location, accessibility, and value is often a key consideration. Peachtree Suites, located at 78 Cottage St, Jersey City, NJ 07306, positions itself as an option for travelers seeking a no-frills stay with practical access to urban transit. For locals in New Jersey welcoming out-of-town guests, or for those considering a staycation to experience Jersey City's vibrant offerings, understanding what Peachtree Suites provides is essential. This article aims to offer a clear and factual overview of the hotel, drawing directly from available public information and customer feedback, to help prospective guests make an informed decision about their stay in Jersey City.
Peachtree Suites operates within a bustling urban environment, which inherently comes with its own set of characteristics, including ongoing development and a dynamic streetscape. As one reviewer aptly put it, "Is there construction? Yes, but there’s construction everywhere. Is there convenient parking? No, but there’s no parking in the entire city." This candid assessment highlights the reality of staying in a densely populated urban area like Jersey City, suggesting that some typical urban inconveniences are to be expected. The hotel's appeal, therefore, tends to lean towards its location and its role as a practical starting point for exploring the city rather than a luxury destination.
Customer experiences, as with any establishment, can vary. Feedback suggests a mixed bag, with some praising the "nice staff" and convenient public transport access, while others point out discrepancies in advertised amenities and noise issues. This range of opinions underscores the importance of setting realistic expectations when considering Peachtree Suites. For those prioritizing a straightforward, value-conscious stay with excellent connectivity to Jersey City's attractions and beyond, Peachtree Suites offers a proposition worth considering.
Peachtree Suites is located at 78 Cottage St, Jersey City, NJ 07306, USA. This address places it within a well-established and accessible neighborhood of Jersey City, particularly advantageous for those relying on public transportation to navigate the city and surrounding areas.
One of the most significant highlights of the hotel's location, as consistently noted by customer feedback, is its proximity to public transit. A reviewer specifically states, "conveniently located near the subway so it’s pretty easy to get throughout the city." This refers to the PATH train system, which serves as a vital connection between Jersey City and Manhattan, as well as Newark and Harrison in New Jersey. The nearest PATH stations, such as Journal Square, are typically within a manageable walking distance or a very short bus ride from 78 Cottage Street, making it incredibly convenient for guests wishing to explore New York City or various parts of Jersey City without needing a car.
Additionally, Jersey City has an extensive network of NJ Transit bus routes. Several bus lines operate along major thoroughfares near Cottage Street, providing further accessibility to different neighborhoods, attractions, and connecting points within Jersey City and other parts of Hudson County.
Regarding parking, the review candidly states, "Is there convenient parking? No, but there’s no parking in the entire city." This accurately reflects the challenging parking situation common in densely populated urban areas like Jersey City. Guests planning to drive should anticipate limited street parking and potentially costly paid parking options at nearby garages or lots, which are not directly affiliated with the hotel. Therefore, Peachtree Suites' location is best suited for travelers who plan to utilize public transportation extensively during their stay in New Jersey.
Based on the provided customer reviews, the actual services offered by Peachtree Suites appear to be more limited than what might be advertised, and it is crucial for prospective guests to set realistic expectations.
According to one reviewer, several amenities that the hotel claims to offer are "simply lies." Specifically mentioned are:
- Onsite Restaurant: A reviewer explicitly states that an "onsite restaurant" is falsely advertised. Guests should not expect dining facilities directly within the hotel.
- Concierge Service: The claim of "concierge service" is also refuted by a customer review. Guests should not anticipate assistance with bookings, recommendations, or other typical concierge duties.
- Complimentary Bottle of Water: A "complimentary bottle of water" is listed as a false claim. Guests should plan to provide their own bottled water.
Given these direct customer statements, the confirmed services available at Peachtree Suites, based solely on the provided information, appear to be primarily:
- Accommodation/Guest Rooms: The hotel provides guest rooms for overnight stays. One reviewer describes their room as "fine."
- Front Desk/Reception: There is clearly a front desk and staff present, as a reviewer interacted with a "front desk worker." However, the reviewer also noted issues with loud music and speaking from this area.
- Staff Presence: The presence of "nice staff" is mentioned by one reviewer, suggesting that while services might be basic, staff are on-site to assist with fundamental needs.
It is important for guests to understand that despite any external claims, the core offerings appear to be basic lodging. Travelers should not rely on the availability of an onsite restaurant, concierge services, or complimentary bottled water, as per the explicit feedback from a recent guest. For more specific details on what is genuinely provided, direct communication with the hotel or recent, verified reviews beyond those provided would be necessary.
Based on the provided customer reviews, Peachtree Suites in Jersey City has a few key features and highlights that stand out, tempered by some notable points of concern:
- Convenient Public Transportation Access: A major highlight is its location "conveniently located near the subway so it’s pretty easy to get throughout the city." This indicates excellent connectivity to the PATH train system, providing quick and easy access to Manhattan and other parts of Jersey City. For travelers prioritizing public transit, this is a significant advantage.
- Staff Service (Mixed Reviews): One reviewer praised the "nice staff," suggesting that the hotel has employees who are polite and helpful. However, another reviewer noted issues with "loud music" and staff speaking "incredibly loud" from the first floor near the lobby, which impacted their restful stay. This suggests a mixed experience with staff behavior, particularly regarding noise levels.
- Price Point: The hotel's "price point compared to surrounding hotel" is highlighted as a reason for selection, indicating it offers a more budget-friendly option in the Jersey City market. This value proposition can be a key draw for cost-conscious travelers.
- Room Functionality: The basic functionality of the rooms appears to be acceptable, as one reviewer stated, "The room was fine." This suggests that for a basic stay, the accommodations are adequate.
However, it is crucial to address the significant discrepancies mentioned regarding advertised features:
- Lack of Advertised Amenities: A key detractor is the explicit statement that amenities like "onsite restaurant," "concierge service," and "complimentary bottle of water" are "simply lies." This misrepresentation of services is a significant concern for potential guests who might rely on these offerings.
- Noise Issues: Beyond the false amenities, the problem of "loud music" and "incredibly loud" staff speaking from the front desk area, causing a "not a very restful stay," is a major highlight of a negative experience for one guest.
- No Parking: The candid admission that there is "no convenient parking" and "no parking in the entire city" is a practical highlight for travelers, as it sets clear expectations for vehicle owners.
In summary, Peachtree Suites' primary highlight is its strong public transport accessibility and potentially competitive pricing. However, these are significantly offset by concerns about misrepresented amenities and noise disturbances, which prospective guests should be fully aware of.
Based on the provided customer reviews, there is no information available regarding any specific "promotions" or "special offers" currently being extended by Peachtree Suites. Hotels often feature seasonal discounts, package deals (e.g., for extended stays), or loyalty program benefits. However, the provided data does not mention any such initiatives from Peachtree Suites.
The key "offer" that Peachtree Suites seems to leverage, as indicated by customer feedback, is its "price point compared to surrounding hotel." This suggests that the hotel aims to attract guests primarily through competitive pricing within the Jersey City accommodation market. For budget-conscious travelers from New Jersey or elsewhere, the perceived value based on cost might be considered its most consistent "special offer."
Given the customer feedback regarding misrepresented amenities (e.g., "onsite restaurant," "concierge service," "complimentary bottle of water" being "simply lies"), it is highly unlikely that the hotel is actively promoting additional services or special packages beyond its basic room rate. Potential guests should exercise caution and directly verify any advertised amenities or offers if they are found elsewhere, as the provided reviews suggest discrepancies.
For the most accurate and up-to-date information on pricing, potential unadvertised deals, or any available inclusions, prospective guests would need to directly contact Peachtree Suites or check their official booking channels (if they exist). However, based strictly on the provided reviews, no specific promotions or special offers are highlighted, with the focus remaining on its relative affordability.
For direct inquiries regarding Peachtree Suites, including room availability, current pricing, specific amenities, or any concerns, prospective guests can reach out using the following contact details:
- Address: 78 Cottage St, Jersey City, NJ 07306, USA
- Phone: (551) 200-9647
- Mobile Phone: +1 551-200-9647
It is highly recommended that potential guests, especially those with specific needs or expectations regarding amenities (such as an onsite restaurant or concierge service), directly contact the hotel using these phone numbers to verify current offerings and address any concerns before making a reservation. Given the conflicting information from customer reviews regarding advertised services, direct communication is the most reliable way to get accurate and up-to-date details from the hotel management. This will help ensure that expectations align with what the hotel truly provides.
Peachtree Suites, located at 78 Cottage St in Jersey City, presents a particular suitability for locals in New Jersey primarily based on its strategic location and competitive pricing, making it a pragmatic choice for specific travel needs. While not without its drawbacks, understanding its core strengths helps define why it might be the right fit for certain individuals or groups.
Firstly, its most significant advantage for New Jersey locals, whether they are welcoming out-of-town visitors or seeking a brief local stay, is its exceptional accessibility via public transportation. The review highlighting its location "conveniently located near the subway so it’s pretty easy to get throughout the city" is crucial. This means guests can easily connect to the broader Jersey City area, including its vibrant downtown, waterfront, and burgeoning arts scene, as well as enjoy seamless travel into New York City via the PATH train. For those who wish to avoid the complexities and costs of urban driving and parking (which, as another reviewer notes, is a general challenge in Jersey City), Peachtree Suites offers a public-transit-centric solution.
Secondly, the hotel's "price point compared to surrounding hotel" is a key draw. For locals looking for a budget-friendly option for short stays, or for those accommodating guests who prioritize affordability over luxury amenities, Peachtree Suites could be a sensible choice. It provides a basic, functional room, which for many travelers, is all that is truly required for a night or two. This "get what you pay for" mentality, as one reviewer put it, suggests a realistic value proposition for certain segments of the market.
However, it is vital for locals to set accurate expectations based on the candid customer feedback. The explicit statements about the non-existence of an "onsite restaurant," "concierge service," or "complimentary bottle of water" mean that guests should not rely on these conveniences. Additionally, the reported issues with noise from the front desk area suggest that light sleepers, or those seeking a particularly tranquil stay, might need to consider other options or request a room away from the lobby.
In conclusion, Peachtree Suites is most suitable for New Jersey locals who need a functional, affordable, and highly transit-accessible base in Jersey City. It caters to those who prioritize convenience for exploring the metropolitan area via public transport and are comfortable with a no-frills accommodation experience. For these specific needs, Peachtree Suites offers a practical and cost-effective solution within the bustling urban environment of Jersey City.

Peachtree Suites Reviews
Such a nice staff, conveniently located near the subway so it’s pretty easy to get throughout the city. Is there construction? Yes, but there’s construction everywhere. Is there convenient parking? No, but there’s no parking in the entire city. Is it perfect? No. But I think these other reviewers just have a stick up their butts
May 29, 2025 · shawnStayed for two nights. I stayed on the first floor near the lobby. First night the front desk worker was playing music loud enough that it kept me up to the point I had to ask him to turn it which he did. Unfortunately this continued into the second night. They also spoke incredibly loud which I could also hear from room and was not a very restful stay.Additionally many of amenities it claims, such as “onsite restaurant,” “concierge service” and “complimentary bottle of water” are simply lies.I picked this hotel due its price point compared to surrounding hotel. The room was fine as is the location however you do get what you pay for.I would not recommend this hotel to others.
Apr 14, 2025 · Ryan SullivanPATH station nearby so easy to get into the city and a great little cafe right next door. The staff was always friendly and courteous. The WiFi worked well enough, never had any issues. We had a leak in the ceiling of our shower. Reported it to the staff, said they would let maintenance know but we could not be moved to another room because hotel was fully booked. However, I was told they'd give us a discount. When checking out, different person at front desk, so I mentioned the leak again, same response basically and that I'd be contacted by email regarding the discount/ refund... have yet to hear anything about that....A recent review mentioned construction nearby and the owner replied "there is no active construction nearby." That's a flat out lie from the owner or they haven't been there in awhile because the building right across the street is completely gutted down to the concrete floors and main support pillars. Half the street is blocked off for the construction project... and periodically they block off the street entirely due to construction activity.I don't what they're talking about saying they have parking... there is no parking... not even to load/unload your stuff unless you block the street... that's what the staff told us to do.I saved the best for last... the people in the room right next to us partied from 11pm - 4am... load music, dancing, hootin' and hollering, non-stop. I went down to the front desk a little after midnight but no one around. Called the number they have posted there several times but no answer.I heard, throughout the time they were partying, other guests banging on the walls but it was totally ignored.I just read another review about people partying all night. They know there's nothing you can do about it as it's up to the staff/ management... and if the staff/ management isn't around, too bad for you.I really wanted to like this place... it has so much potential. However, for the reasons mentioned above, I cannot recommend it.
Mar 05, 2025 · Canon BTHIS IS NOT A SMEAR CAMPAIGN. I stayed here in February and had a really frustrating experience. The staff were rude and unhelpful, and the hygiene was pretty gross—quilts didn’t even have covers. On top of that, there was constant construction, so it was impossible to get any peace and quiet. They also gave completely misleading information about the bed size and parking. In reality, they only have two parking spots, and they’re always booked, so good luck with that. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again. Also many websites such as tripadvisor.ca have terrible reviews about this place so this is definitely not a one-off.Reply: The staff isn't at the reception majority of the time so it's not shocking that they don't recollect talking to me. If they were at the reception, I would bring it up to them but they were always away. There is construction right outside of Peachtree. If I am wrong, I would love for the hotel management to upload recent pictures proving that there is in fact no construction. I was also informed by Danny and Nick that there are only two parking spots shared between Appletree (the suites next to Peachtree) and Peachtree, both of which were already booked for all the days I was residing at the hotel. If the information I received was inaccurate, that’s on the management, not me.
Feb 19, 2025 · Avizeh DharamseyCan I leave no stars?I have to agree about lack of cleanliness, present construction and lack of parking. We stayed here this weekend, no place to even unload car. Room has a couch that is so dirty that we put a comforter over it as a “protective barrier”. Minimal kitchen utensils. There’s an oven but no cookie sheet or ovenware Ceiling in bathroom leaked.. When we asked to change rooms were told it was completely booked, but would be given a discount at check out. At check out were told that management wasn’t there and we would be contacted regarding discount. Well still waiting….This place was a gem 2 years ago when my mom stayed here. Now it’s run down due to lack of maintainence. They allow parties to go on with loud music and dancing until 4 am. We will not be coming back:(
