Red Roof PLUS+ Secaucus - Meadowlands - NYC Reviews
What a great experience, after having troubles with my personal vehicle and needing to extend my stay, Red Roof was helpful in assisting us to book another room so we didn’t have to worry about traveling, again! The front desk ladies are very nice and the rooms were in good condition. They smelt good and even if they got a little muggy from the rain, the AC cleared it up right away. The hard wood floors made the room feel more open and the bathrooms kind of vary, but definitely clean!! i definitely recommend red roof for an affordable, great stay.
May 19, 2025 · alexandriaThe day-to-day seems to be run fine; the linens were clean, the towels were soft, the rugs were well vacuumed. Another guest warned us about bedbugs; we didn't find any in our room. However the building is in a poor state, with moisture and water damage. The light fixtures were rusting, every wall had peeling paint, and the room's air was humid. We were afraid to use the air conditioner unit because of the large number of mold-like spots on its vents. There were stains on the curtain covers, and "accumulated stuff" behind the night stands on the floor...The hotel grounds were clean, but some of the vending machines were unable to accept card payments because of "no network connection".The neighborhood was fine; there's a great bagel shop a short walk away. The pet policy was great. No issues when checking-in.It was the cheapest hotel we could find in short order that accepted pets, but it seems too neglected by the parent company for my taste.
May 29, 2025 · Hector MedinaAt first I thought this was going to be a nice place to stay based on positive reviews and pictures. The concept that it was a”+” indicates that it’s an upgrade from their standard. To start with the good, it’s the location and that’s it. It’s in a nice place with a few eateries close by. I walked around town and it seemed to be upper middle class, not scary to walk around, and some nice scenery. As for the hotel itself, when I arrived they said I’m on the second floor and pointed to the stairs outside. I inquired is there some sort of wheelchair access since I had with me someone out of surgery. The desk clerk said “no, not with the room that you booked” so I did my best to help the person who just finished surgery climb a flight of stairs. As I am carrying luggage up the stairs the clerk says, “sir there is an elevator down that way…” this irritated me from the start considering I asked about wheelchair access. As for the room, it wasn’t disgusting, but it definitely needed a remodel. There were stains in the tub/shower, when I looked under the bed there were candy pieces and dirt, and the rooms just had a cheap outdated feel to them. The price of the room was not a good value either. I thought I was paying a little extra for a nicer “+” place to stay, but clearly they feel since the location is so nice, they can charge a premium for substandard rooms. Won’t stay with red roof again.
