Residence Inn Weehawken Port Imperial Introduce
For those of us in New Jersey, particularly when hosting out-of-town guests for an extended period, or perhaps needing a comfortable base for a local project or family event, finding a hotel that truly feels like a home away from home is key. The Residence Inn Weehawken Port Imperial steps up to this challenge, offering a wonderfully located, clean, and amenity-rich experience right here on our vibrant waterfront. It's more than just a place to sleep; it’s a thoughtfully designed space that caters to longer stays, blending the comforts of an apartment with the conveniences of a hotel, all while boasting some of the most enviable views of the New York City skyline.
We know the importance of a smooth, stress-free stay, whether it's for business or leisure. The Residence Inn Weehawken Port Imperial consistently delivers on this front. As one happy guest raved, "This is a wonderfully located hotel. This hotel is clean, centrally located and had great views of the city! I enjoyed a quiet stay and their complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious. They offer in room food options and it made for a great arrival surprise. I would highly recommend this location!" This sentiment highlights the hotel's core strengths: its prime location, cleanliness, and the often-underestimated value of a truly satisfying complimentary breakfast. For us locals, recommending a place that guarantees these essentials, plus those iconic city views, makes it a top choice for anyone visiting the area.
What truly sets this Residence Inn apart, and makes it especially suitable for longer visits, is its extended-stay focus. Rooms are designed with kitchens, providing the flexibility and cost-saving potential that traditional hotels often lack. This feature, combined with thoughtful touches like "in room food options," ensures that guests have everything they need for a comfortable and independent stay. While one reviewer, a "Gold Elite" Marriott member, noted a minor disappointment regarding elite recognition and extra towel service, the overall sentiment was still positive: "Overall, would stay here again but would hope for the service to be a bit more refined." This indicates that the fundamental advantages – location, views, cleanliness, and amenities – far outweigh minor service hiccups, making it a reliable and highly recommended option for anyone looking for a convenient and well-equipped stay on the New Jersey side of the Hudson. Its direct adjacency to the main ferry stop to NYC is just the icing on the cake, offering unparalleled access to Manhattan.
The Residence Inn Weehawken Port Imperial is exceptionally well-located at 100 Ferry Wy, Weehawken Township, NJ 07086, USA. This prime address places it directly within the sought-after Port Imperial development, a dynamic waterfront community in Hudson County, New Jersey. Its position offers a unique blend of tranquility and direct access to the bustling energy of Manhattan.
The hotel's name itself, "Ferry Wy," hints at its most significant accessibility advantage: its immediate adjacency to the NY Waterway ferry terminal at Port Imperial. As highlighted by guests, the "main ferry stop is immediately adjacent to the hotel." This means that guests can literally step out of the hotel and onto a ferry that provides a fast and scenic two-minute ride directly to Midtown Manhattan (West 39th Street). This unparalleled convenience makes it an ideal base for exploring New York City, bypassing the usual traffic and tunnel congestion.
For those traveling by car, the Residence Inn also offers significant advantages. Weehawken provides straightforward access to major roadways, including the Lincoln Tunnel, which is just a short drive away for direct vehicular access to Manhattan. Crucially, the hotel provides "covered parking readily available at attached parking ramp." This ease of parking is a substantial benefit in the metropolitan area, where parking can often be a challenge, providing peace of mind for guests with vehicles.
Beyond Manhattan, the hotel's Port Imperial location offers convenient access to local New Jersey attractions. Hoboken, known for its vibrant nightlife, dining, and shops, is just "a short ride-share trip away," making it easily accessible for an evening out or exploration. The Hudson River Waterfront Walkway is also directly accessible from the hotel, offering a perfect path for scenic walks, runs, or bike rides with breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline. This combination of effortless access to NYC, convenient parking, and proximity to local attractions makes Residence Inn Weehawken Port Imperial an exceptionally well-situated choice for both extended stays and shorter visits.

Residence Inn Weehawken Port Imperial Reviews
This is a wonderfully located hotel. This hotel is clean, centrally located and had great views of the city ! I enjoyed a quiet stay and their complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious. They offer in room food options and it made for a great arrival surprise. I would highly recommend this location !
May 25, 2025 · Lo MiOur first stay at this hotel. Very convenient location for access to NYC (main ferry stop in immediately adjacent to the hotel) as well as the shops and restaurants in Hoboken (a short ride-share trip away). Covered parking readily available at attached parking ramp. Disappointed with the service due to to two somewhat picky items: we never received the extra towels we spoke to the desk about, and although I am a "Gold Elite" member at Marriott I never received any acknowledgement of that (again, it sounds petty, but always enjoyed the "thank you for being a Marriott elite member" upon check-in). Overall, would stay here again but would hope for the service to be a bit more refined.
May 22, 2025 · Stuart U.This was our first trip to NYC, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and decided to stay at this location. Everything started great love our Marriotts. But the first night when pulling out the couch bed in our room we noticed how disgusting it was flat as a pancake too. The main room was great. So my disabled son slept on the couch bed. We left on day 3 after he had bed bug bites on him and when we folded the couch under it was covered in black mold as well. Definitely need to replace your couch mattresses. For the price you pay not sure it was worth it. The front desk was friendly always. But we will never be back to this location sorry to say. We stay at a lot of Marriotts and this one didn't even meet the mark. My son still has scabs where the the bites were.
Apr 17, 2025 · Amber OlsonBefore I came here I had looked at other hotels. This was a Marriott property which I'm a member of their brand. Only stay at Marriott properties. I mainly picked this Residence Inn due to its location and good reviews. The location was good right across the street from the ferry to manhattan, the staff was friendly. I did find that at the rooms aren't quite in the best of shape and the building itself on the 11th floor seems to have a water leak/intrusion problem. Other issues I had was that the seal on the shower door was torn so a lot of water would pour in the floor while showering. The shower head would not stop leaking so all night long you would hear the drip drip drip on the metal drain pan so you would have to put a wet towel down there to stop the noise. The pendant lights over the bar in the living room area never worked properly they just slightly flickered 24/7. And the air conditioning set up they have in these rooms works pretty good for the bedroom but it never makes it down the hall to the living room area. Overall it was okay but i would be hard-pressed to spend $650 for two nights again with these type of issues for future stays.
May 29, 2025 · Chris PughChose this hotel for my first stay in NYC. The suites are very well-equipped and spacious (as advertised). The cleanliness is at a hospital level. The skyline views of Manhattan are absolutely breathtaking. The ferry to Manhattan is just a 2-minute walk from the hotel, and each ride is an experience on its own. A subsequent bus to Times Square is included in the ticket. (Buy the poorly advertised ferry pass instead of the single ride tickets)The only downsides are the noisy road next to the hotel, combined with the poorly insulated windows, and the rather basic breakfast, where almost all the hot/savory food consists of prepackaged, reheated meals.
