Rifle Camp Park

As a long time resident of NNJ, I have heard about this park but just never visited before. I finally made my way to Rifle Camp Park this weekend. To be honest, I've been to better parks. Some of the scenery was beautiful but it was lacking some impressive. The park only has two trails: red and yellow. The red was easier so if you're looking for more of a challenge, pick yellow. There were more inclines on yellow, rocky terrain, and more interesting scenery as well. I didn't see any maps available at the park to mark the trails but the access points are through each parking lot. The red trail did make a full loop around the park. A big plus is that majority of the hike is shaded. The park has a lot of construction ongoing so hopefully more improvements to come.Overall, I enjoyed my time here but would choose to go another park instead for more challenging hikes. - j h

It provides a full loop around the park, making it a good option for those seeking a less challenging but still engaging walk. A significant portion of the red trail is shaded, offering relief during warmer weather.
