This dog park needs to be remodeled for the sake of the neighborhood puppies & adult dogs what are you doing? Turf ground is more cleaner and easier on the dogs . Every time I visit this place, I have to bath my dogs because their paws will be full of dirt and gravel. And some, maybe one dog activity at least on one side of the playground. I have taken several pictures of all the defects holes On the gate between the playground From the large side to the small side. Ground not leveled and holes in it. Bench not stable to sit on for the doggy parents. No water fountain for our doggies to stay hydrated. Don’t get me wrong. I would love to visit this location every day. It’s just a block away from my home. Please address this dog park it can be an amazing place. - Mayra Villegas (Sunshine)

Promotions or Special Offers

However, the park does provide inherent value that can be considered a form of ongoing benefit for locals:

  • Free Access to Facilities: All general park amenities, including the playground, basketball court, and dog run, are available for public use without any entry fees or membership costs. This ensures that all community members, regardless of economic status, can enjoy outdoor recreation and fresh air.
  • Affordable Community Garden Plots: For those interested in urban gardening, the community garden within Sgt. Anthony Park offers plots at a very affordable annual fee (e.g., $40, often including membership to the Sgt. Anthony Park Neighborhood Association). This makes gardening accessible and cost-effective, providing fresh produce and a rewarding hobby at a minimal expense.
  • Community Events and Programs: While not constantly advertised, the Sgt. Anthony Park Neighborhood Association may organize free community events, clean-up days, or social gatherings within the park throughout the year. These events, though not traditional promotions, offer valuable opportunities for community engagement and enjoyment at no cost. Residents are encouraged to follow the Neighborhood Association's channels for such announcements.
  • Health and Wellness Benefits: The most significant "promotion" that Sgt. Anthony Park provides is the promotion of public health and well-being. By offering spaces for physical activity (playing, basketball, dog walking) and social interaction, it directly supports a healthier and more connected community, which is an invaluable benefit for locals.

Therefore, while you won't find discount coupons, the continuous provision of quality, free, and community-driven recreational facilities is Sgt. Anthony Park's most impactful and consistent "special offer" to the residents of Jersey City.
