Sleep Inn Coney Island Introduce
For many New Yorkers and visitors planning a trip to the iconic Coney Island area, finding an accommodation that balances convenience with affordability is key. While luxury resorts abound in other parts of the city, sometimes all you need is a practical, clean, and well-located base from which to launch your adventures. Sleep Inn Coney Island aims to provide just that, offering a straightforward lodging option for those looking to explore the vibrant and historic waterfront district of Brooklyn.
Located within reach of Coney Island's famous boardwalk, amusement parks, and attractions, Sleep Inn presents itself as a viable choice for travelers who prioritize value and accessibility to the area's entertainment. It’s a pragmatic option for families, couples, or solo adventurers who intend to spend most of their time experiencing the excitement of Luna Park, the beach, or the vibrant local scene, returning to a comfortable and no-frills room at the end of the day.
While the New York hotel landscape offers a spectrum of choices, Sleep Inn Coney Island positions itself squarely in the budget-friendly category, focusing on providing essential comforts rather than extensive luxury. This makes it an appealing choice for those who are mindful of their travel budget but still want to be close to one of New York City's most beloved destinations. This article will delve into what you can expect from a stay at Sleep Inn Coney Island, helping local New Yorkers and out-of-town guests determine if it's the right fit for their next Brooklyn getaway.
Sleep Inn Coney Island is strategically located at 2586 Stillwell Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11223, USA. This address places it within a dynamic part of Brooklyn, offering relatively easy access to the renowned Coney Island attractions. The hotel's position on Stillwell Avenue means it is nestled in a more residential and commercial mixed-use area, providing a glimpse into local Brooklyn life while still being connected to the lively entertainment hub of Coney Island.
One of the primary draws of this location is its proximity to the Coney Island Boardwalk, Luna Park, Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park, and the New York Aquarium. For guests eager to experience these iconic attractions, the hotel offers a convenient base. According to customer reviews, the Coney Island Boardwalk is approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel. This allows guests to enjoy a pleasant stroll to and from the attractions, soaking in the neighborhood atmosphere.
For those relying on New York City's extensive public transportation system, the Sleep Inn Coney Island is reasonably accessible. The D, F, N, and Q subway lines all serve the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue subway station, which is a major transportation hub. While the hotel is not directly adjacent to the station, a walk or a short bus ride would connect guests to these subway lines, providing direct access to Manhattan and other parts of Brooklyn. Local bus routes also service the Stillwell Avenue area, offering further connectivity within the neighborhood. Guests are always encouraged to use the MTA's official website or popular navigation apps for the most up-to-date subway and bus schedules and routes.
For those traveling by car, the hotel's location offers proximity to major roadways in Brooklyn, simplifying arrival and departure. While information on dedicated hotel parking is not explicitly provided in the general description, many hotels in the area do offer some form of parking, which can be a significant advantage in New York City. Guests planning to drive should always inquire directly with the hotel about parking availability and any associated fees. The combination of walking access to major attractions and public transportation options makes Sleep Inn Coney Island a practical choice for exploring the area.

Sleep Inn Coney Island highlights its appeal through several key features, especially for travelers looking for an economical and convenient stay in Brooklyn:
Affordable Pricing: One of the most significant highlights of Sleep Inn Coney Island is its affordability. It offers a budget-friendly option for visitors to New York City, allowing guests to save on accommodation costs and allocate more of their budget to experiencing local attractions, dining, and entertainment. This is a crucial factor for many travelers, especially in a city known for its high cost of living.
Proximity to Coney Island Attractions: The hotel's location is a major draw. Practical and Essential Amenities: While not a luxury hotel, Sleep Inn provides the core amenities necessary for a comfortable stay: a private bathroom, comfortable beds, in-room TV, and Wi-Fi. Cozy Room Experience (for some guests): Some guests describe the rooms as "small" but "cozy" and "comfortable," indicating that despite the compact nature, they are functional and provide a decent sleeping environment for two people. This suggests that for those who prioritize a good night's sleep over expansive space, the rooms can meet expectations.
Direct Connection to Public Transport: The hotel's relative proximity to the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue subway station (a major hub for the D, F, N, and Q lines) is a significant advantage. Sleep Inn Coney Island Reviews
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend “getaway” during the summer. Not the best room, but certainly not the worst. You get what you pay for. We got a small cozy room. The bed fit 2 people comfortably. The room includes a small TV, Wi-Fi, and bathroom. The Coney Island Boardwalk is about a good 15-20 minute walk from the hotel. If you’re looking for luxury, look elsewhere. If you want affordable, this place is a great option.
Apr 22, 2025 · Jason LadaoTraveled here on business. This was by far the worst hotel I’ve been to in my life. Crusty yellow stains on the blankets. Blood and semen stains behind the headboards. Hair on the towels. Black water damage coming from pipe on the ceiling. The lobby had to have been 90-100 degrees. Absolutely disgusting hotel. Made the staff switch my room after 15 mins of begging (they didn’t believe me). The second room was slightly better, but not by much.
Aug 02, 2019 · Justin WeaverThe rooms are very small...but nicely decorated. 15 minute walk to Coney Island so the location was pretty ideal for us that we could walk there. Staff is friendly and courteous. Make sure you book online...they will try to overcharge you if you book in person. I booked online but for some reason my credit card was charged $20 more than what the room was supposed to be. Other than that...it's pretty good.
Jul 14, 2016 · Audain EdwardsI did read all the reviews before booking this hotel. Parking lot literally has about 15 spaces. I arrived around 1pm and took the last spot. People come and go of course. I was advised by the owner to stay put. Lol. The hotel looks a little sketchy but it’s actually VERY CLEAN!! I check EVERYTHING trust me! There is a small fridge, windows open, no great view, I did not see the homeless folks that other reviews mentioned. The walk to Coney Island Beach is about 4 very long blocks. There is a bus that stops directly in front of the hotel door that will take you to Luna Park. You must have change( quarters) or the bus card. I’m from Baltimore and our buses take any form of money so my family wasn’t prepared for the bus. There is a bus station across from Luna Park that will allow you to purchase all your bus and subway needs. I hope this has been helpful. If you are a Choice Rewards member, good luck with Choice Privilege Program honoring your free nights.
Jul 25, 2018 · Lysa MIt was my worst experience in hotels. I booked room around 9 pm and was there by 10 pm. So room wasn’t ready. And I waited for 40-45 minutes. Worst things were waiting for me in the room: broken glass pieces on the floor, shower stuff just for one person (I booked room for two) and in the bath was no bath towels. I used hand towels and bathmats instead big towels. I had no choice, cause I already was in the shower! There is no space even for standing around.Next morning I hoped for normally breakfast. But I disappointed there also: almost nothing to eat and even plastic bowls and cups were missing.Only one positive point is - guy in the front desk. He was very nice and friendly. But at all I will never come there again
