Tenafly Nature Center Reviews
It's a lovely walk through nature. It's quiet and beautiful, and has the PERFECT mix of paved trails and unpaved, as well as amenities, but not too many to feel unnatural. It's long and there's lots of wildlife and photo ops.
May 12, 2025 · Lior ShtarkerI've always loved this nature center and had been very interested in their preschool and camp programs. When I first stopped by without an appointment to inquire, the staff was incredibly welcoming and even called Amanda, the head of the preschool program, to come speak with me. She was also so kind and thoroughly explained everything, which led me to decide to register for the camp that very day.During the day camp my son attended, when he wasn't feeling well, they called me promptly and handled the situation with great care and professionalism. They continued to take excellent care of my son throughout his time there, creating unforgettable memories for us. My son had an absolute blast at camp, and we're very satisfied with this experience. We will definitely return, as this place has become like a second home to us. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at Tenafly Nature Center. If there are any parents out there wondering whether to enroll their children in the school or camp programs here, I highly recommend it.
Nov 08, 2024 · Creatives SKWell maintained hiking trails and feeling completely safe in the environs. Parking lot is small. One may have to wait for a spot
Mar 16, 2025 · Robert TorresThere is free parking but it's a tiny lot. Probably fits 15 or so cars.Well marked trails for the most part-Tho the red trail takes you out the city sign by the street and I wasn't sure where to go from there. It just so happened to reconnect back into the woods a little ways south of the exit point. Some signage would've been nice! Can't wait to see this place in the fall.Edit: Visited in fall and loved it even more. I will say I had to backtrack once on the orwmge trail as the trail turns right but appears to continue straight thru a cut tree.
Oct 21, 2024 · Keke SmithAwesome trails for kids and adults alike. Difficulty is easy. Very quiet but since it's nestled by homes you can hear the stray lawn equipment at work. For this crazy time, the nature center staff did a great job of pandemic-proofing the experience. Come here to get a piece of your sanity back.
