The Manner is ideally situated at 58 Thompson St, New York, NY 10012, USA, placing it in the heart of SoHo (South of Houston Street). This neighborhood is one of Manhattan's most fashionable and sought-after districts, celebrated for its cobblestone streets, iconic cast-iron architecture, high-end boutiques, art galleries, and an abundance of world-class restaurants and vibrant nightlife.
The hotel's location offers exceptional accessibility, crucial for both out-of-town guests and New Yorkers. SoHo is incredibly well-connected by New York City's extensive subway system:
- Spring Street Station (C, E lines): Just a few blocks away, providing easy access to Midtown, Chelsea, and various other parts of Manhattan.
- Prince Street Station (N, R, W lines): Also within a short walk, offering connections up and down Broadway, including Times Square and Herald Square.
- Canal Street Station (A, C, E, J, N, Q, R, W, Z, 6 lines): A major transit hub slightly further south, providing comprehensive connections to multiple boroughs.
- Broadway-Lafayette Street / Bleecker Street Station (B, D, F, M, 6 lines): Conveniently close, serving the eastern side of SoHo and connecting to Greenwich Village, East Village, and further uptown.
Beyond subway access, numerous bus lines run along major avenues surrounding Thompson Street, including Broadway, Sixth Avenue, and Houston Street. For those who prefer to explore on foot, The Manner is perfectly positioned for leisurely strolls through the charming streets of SoHo, Greenwich Village, and the West Village. Washington Square Park, Tribeca, and even parts of the Lower East Side are all within comfortable walking distance, allowing guests to truly immerse themselves in the diverse fabric of downtown Manhattan. The location ensures that world-class dining, shopping, and entertainment are always just steps away.
The Manner strives to provide a luxurious and personalized guest experience, offering a range of services designed for comfort and convenience, with a focus on attentive hospitality.

- Daily Housekeeping: Professional cleaning services are provided to maintain the comfort and tidiness of each room, though some guests have noted inconsistencies with replenishment of certain amenities like toilet paper or tissues.
- Complimentary Still and Sparkling Water: Unlimited still and sparkling water is provided, with a generous supply (4 of each) left in the room each day, a thoughtful and appreciated amenity.
- Complimentary Breakfast Offerings: Guests enjoy free delicious breakfast pastries, yogurt, and coffee in a dedicated "apartment" meeting area on the second floor. One review noted an instance where this service was unexpectedly closed, suggesting it's good to confirm availability.
- Fast Room Service with Good Items: The hotel offers prompt room service with a selection of "very good items," providing convenient in-room dining.

- Luggage Storage: A common amenity, allowing guests to store their bags securely before check-in or after check-out.
- Bluetooth Speakers in Room: Rooms are equipped with Bluetooth speakers for entertainment, though one review noted they "did not work."

- Private Balconies with Great Views: Many rooms boast large private balconies, providing valuable outdoor space and "great views"—a true luxury and rarity in New York City.
- Exceptional Culinary Experiences:

The Manner Reviews
Stylish, warm, and full of personality — The Manor is a standout in Soho and a refreshing addition to Hyatt’s Unbound Collection. My room was huge, with bold egg-yolk yellow walls, a large balcony, and great views. No gym onsite, but they give you a pass to Equinox Soho, which is fantastic. Loved the mix of Brazilian, Australian, and Mediterranean design. Breakfast was especially memorable — a spicy green curry with poached egg balanced perfectly by a sweet cardamom bun. The oysters at The Otter were excellent, and the lobster roll was a thoughtful, gourmet version. The staff really made the stay — welcoming, helpful, and genuinely kind. Highly recommend for a staycation, vacation, or even a stylish business trip.
Apr 24, 2025 · GG CWhile the room is updated, tasteful and large for NYC, there are many things that are left to be desired.Pros:Unlimited still and sparkling water with 4 of each left in the room each day. Free delicious breakfast pastries, yogurt and coffee in the "apartment" meeting area on the second floor. Fast room service with quite a few very good items. The speakeasy downstairs is great. Location.Cons:No TV in the rooms (they say this is by choice). The water was out one night and we had to run it for almost an hour the next day before it was clean with no sediment. Bluetooth speakers (the only entertainment in the room) did not work. The aforementioned breakfast above was closed one morning with no explanation. They never replaced the toilet paper or tissues and eventually we ran out and couldn't easily find anyone to replace them. No mini bar. No gym (free access to Equinox, but it is a 15 minute walk). The toilet seat was slightly broken.Overall, I would find a different place in the area next time.Note: the one photo I have is from the apartment, which is a very nice area.
May 22, 2025 · Justin KelleyThis is a 3 star hotel dressed up as a luxury property. Service is fine, not exceptional. Food was mediocre. No vegan options on breakfast menu. The Apartment concept wasn’t my cup of tea. I didn’t really find it comfortable, and the few times I stopped by for coffee there was none there. In the room, noise carries very loudly from the hallways. There are no TVs in the rooms and maybe this is why. Bath products are nice, and bed/linens very comfortable. Overall, at this price point there are much better hotel options around. I probably won’t stay again.
May 23, 2025 · E SThe best about the hotel is the incredibly friendly staff. The welcoming and introduction into the hotel facilities is something we have never experienced before. Even though it is our first visit we felt like coming home. The location is also very nice to experience NYC. The rooms are clean and spacious for ny standards and also very quiet during night time which make them your perfect retreat in this amazing city. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
May 29, 2025 · Marco CWe absolutely loved our stay! From the moment you step inside the scent and warm hospitality draw you in.We started our days visiting the beautiful lounge area called The Apartment, where they serve coffee and breakfast, it’s perfect for planning the day, getting some work done, or simply taking a moment to unwind. They also serve aperitifs and cocktails in the afternoon. The drinks at Sloan, their hidden speakeasy, were exceptional. Our room was spotless, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. While there are no TVs, the room was stocked with a selection of genuinely great books.Every member of the staff, from the doormen to room service, greeted us with kindness and care. A special thank you to Matthew for his attentiveness throughout our stay, to Patrick for his thoughtfulness, and to JP and Michy for their impeccable hospitality.Already looking forward to my next visit!
