Aura Hotel Times Square Reviews
The location is great being so close to time square. We got a King room for a reasonable price. The staff were very friendly, especially the maid Mary who took good care of our room discretely. They don’t have a restaurant or mini fridges in the room, but there are small shops and places to get breakfast next door, so it worked out. I would stay there again.
May 23, 2025 · Tyelor ReynoldsCheck-in was very smooth and quick thanks to Danny and Adrian. The room was a compact size that would fit 1-2 people, and the AC was nice and cold. Bathroom came with good quality shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Elevators are on the smaller size (fits 4 ppl max, or 2 people with luggage) but the wait isn’t too long. Location is central and can’t be beat. Luggage holding service is also available which is convenient.
May 22, 2025 · OliviaWould call this a bare bones hotel but have zero complaints. Clean. Extremely comfy beds. Really quiet interior room. Everyone working here is extremely nice. The long boat bar next door was awesome! Location central to a lot, especially Times Square
May 29, 2025 · Kimberly SchottBeing prepaid we reluctantly stayed at the Aura after reading some ugly reviews. BOY WERE THEY WRONG. We had a simply PERFECT stay at the Aura.We needed to be in the Theater District, and to not spend $600+ a night. Space is THE MOST precious commodity in NYC. The Aura overall (including its common spaces, reception, rooms, elevators) - are ALL small by comparison. Add to that, the building is probably 100+ years old. If these conditions turn you off, stop reading now and find another place. Of note - the elevators are exceptionally small, and with only 2 for guests (and one for housekeeping / staff) plan your time accordingly. Our room was an executive king See photos. It was bright, modern, clean and of course, convenient - OK priced. If there was a complaint, it was there was not a lot of surfaces. Or a lot of drawers. There was a gym but we did not use it. Net net, it was the perfect solution and a great space for us.Details - The room was a good sized room and a great layout for 2 people or a couples.Lighting: plenty (no dimmers) and surprisingly good light in the bathroom. lots of USB plugs so no need for bringing those giant chargers.Safety: Room Safe, Room telephone (worked great), Fire alarm, Front desk staffed all hours - a valet will hold bags at both checking in and checking out. Check in is 4PM.Entertainment: Voucher for drinks at bar, BIG TV (we didn’t use)Bed: Great! - Linens were nice, new and comfortable, mattress really quite nice - solid feel, great bed.Comfort - Excellent. This room had 2 thermostats and 2 AC units. It was hot for May, and we stayed VERY comfortable.Hygiene / Storage: Good - The bathroom, while small, was well done with Molten Brown soap products. The closet was large for all our stuff. We had no problems, checking in or checking out or getting our deposit back. We would highly recommend the Aria if you need to stay in Time Square and your goal is taking in the sights and entertainment. If you enjoy a boutique-y feel hotel, and location is extremely important to you. This is your place.
May 24, 2025 · Jeff Roehm PerlmanGreat location and very clean. Our room was rather small, but when in NYC you don't spend time in your room. It was very clean, and the location was superb. There was a generator noise constantly outside our window (we looked onto the stairwell) so I am glad I took some earplugs as it was a constant noise. So if staying here bring some earplugs. The staff were very polite and friendly
