Bkway Hotel Brooklyn Introduce
For anyone seeking accommodation in Brooklyn, New York, especially with a focus on convenience and accessibility, the Bkway Hotel Brooklyn on Atlantic Avenue emerges as a potential option. New York City, with its vast array of hotels, offers diverse choices catering to every budget and preference. Hotels, particularly those outside of Manhattan's core, often provide a more localized experience and can be a practical base for exploring specific neighborhoods or for short-term stays when visiting friends and family.
The Bkway Hotel Brooklyn is situated on Atlantic Avenue, a major thoroughfare that connects various parts of Brooklyn and extends into Queens. This placement is key to its appeal, offering straightforward access to transportation networks that link guests to the broader New York City area. For locals, whether they're accommodating out-of-town visitors, seeking a temporary stay during home renovations, or simply looking for a quick and accessible overnight option, understanding the amenities and realities of hotels like Bkway Hotel Brooklyn is important.
This article aims to provide a clear, factual, and balanced overview of the Bkway Hotel Brooklyn. We will explore its location and accessibility, outline the services typically offered, highlight key features, and discuss what guests might expect based on available public information, including direct customer feedback. This detailed look is designed to help prospective guests make an informed decision about their stay in this part of Brooklyn.
The Bkway Hotel Brooklyn is located at 3192 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11208, USA. This address places it in the East New York section of Brooklyn, a neighborhood known for its diverse community and excellent transportation connections, particularly to major transit hubs and thoroughfares.
The hotel's location on Atlantic Avenue provides significant advantages in terms of accessibility:
Subway Access: The area around 3192 Atlantic Avenue is well-served by the MTA subway system. The Norwood Av. Station (Arlington Av.) for the A and C subway lines is typically just a 4-minute walk from the hotel. The Crescent St. Station, also on the A and C lines, is about a 9-minute walk. These lines offer direct and relatively quick access to Manhattan, other parts of Brooklyn, and convenient connections to JFK Airport via the AirTrain at the Jamaica Station.
Bus Services: Numerous MTA bus routes operate along Atlantic Avenue and intersecting streets, providing extensive local connectivity throughout East New York and linking to other Brooklyn neighborhoods.
Long Island Rail Road (LIRR): While not immediately adjacent, the LIRR's East New York station is within a short distance, offering regional rail connections for those traveling to or from Long Island.
Vehicular Access: Atlantic Avenue is a major roadway, making it straightforward for guests arriving by car. It provides direct connections to major highways and parkways, including the Belt Parkway, making the hotel relatively accessible from various points in New York City and beyond. However, parking can be a significant challenge in this urban environment. While some public information suggests "free parking included with your stay," a customer review explicitly states, "parking lot was under construction. Lol smh. Like i said, If you're desperate and need a night in that location then go for it - it's not a roach motel, it's clean with new fixings." Other sources also indicate "no onsite parking." It is critical for guests planning to drive to verify parking availability directly with the hotel prior to arrival.
Proximity to Attractions: The hotel is centrally located in Brooklyn, within a 10-minute drive of Resorts World Casino and Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. It's also within a short drive to Barclays Center Brooklyn and Citi Field, making it a convenient base for events or entertainment.
The location on Atlantic Avenue makes Bkway Hotel Brooklyn highly accessible for both public transit users and those with vehicles, though specific parking arrangements should always be confirmed.
Based on publicly available information and customer reviews, the Bkway Hotel Brooklyn offers a range of essential services typical of budget-friendly hotels, focusing on providing a practical and straightforward stay.
Accommodation: The core service is providing private guest rooms for overnight stays. These rooms are generally equipped with fundamental amenities such as a bed (memory foam bed with down comforters mentioned by one source), a private bathroom with a shower, and a television.
24-Hour Front Desk: The hotel features a 24-hour front desk, ensuring that guests can check in, check out, and receive assistance at any time of day or night. This is a crucial service for travelers with varying arrival times or those needing late-night support.
Complimentary Wi-Fi: Free wireless internet access is available in rooms, allowing guests to stay connected, work remotely, or stream entertainment. Some sources even specify high speeds (500+ Mbps).
Daily Housekeeping: Rooms are typically serviced daily, with fresh linens and basic toiletries provided. However, one review mentioned finding a "used bar of soap in the shower," which indicates inconsistencies in this service.
Smart Televisions with Digital Programming/Netflix: Rooms are equipped with Smart TVs, often with digital programming or Netflix access, providing in-room entertainment options. However, one review noted difficulty with the TV and slow internet for YouTube.
Air Conditioning/In-Room Climate Control: Rooms feature air conditioning, allowing guests to control their comfort levels. A review mentioned "My AC wasn't cooling properly," suggesting potential maintenance issues.
Elevator Access: The building has an elevator, providing accessibility to all floors, which is an important feature for guests with luggage or mobility needs.
ATM/Banking Services: Some sources indicate the availability of ATM/banking services on-site, adding a layer of convenience for guests.
While some reviews highlight friendly staff, other critical feedback points to significant issues with cleanliness ("smells immediately of smoke," "plastic bag on the smoke detector," "used bar of soap," "bed was sooooo dirty"), noisy environment, and non-functional amenities like advertising for free parking when the lot is under construction. These discrepancies suggest that while the advertised services aim to provide a comfortable stay, the actual execution and guest experience can vary widely.
The Bkway Hotel Brooklyn presents several features that could be considered highlights, especially for a hotel in its price range and location, although these are often contrasted by negative guest experiences.
Exceptional Subway Proximity: A standout feature is its walking distance to the Norwood Av. and Crescent St. subway stations (A, C lines). This allows for extremely convenient and direct access to Manhattan and other parts of Brooklyn, making it highly attractive for travelers relying on public transit.
24/7 Front Desk: The round-the-clock front desk ensures that guests have support and can check in or out at any time, offering flexibility that can be crucial for late arrivals or early departures.
Complimentary In-Room Wi-Fi: Free and reportedly high-speed Wi-Fi in every room is a valuable amenity for both leisure and business travelers, enabling connectivity for entertainment, communication, or work.
Smart TVs with Streaming Options: The presence of Smart TVs with access to digital programming or Netflix provides modern entertainment options within the guest rooms, a convenience often appreciated by travelers.
Memory Foam Beds: Some sources highlight the presence of memory foam beds with down comforters, suggesting an effort towards providing a comfortable sleeping experience, which is a key aspect of any hotel stay.
Friendly and Helpful Staff (Contradicted by some reviews): One review specifically praises the staff: "The staff was friendly and helpful, though." and "staffs where amazing and room was clean." This indicates that, for some guests, the human element of service is a positive highlight.
However, it is critical to address the severe negative highlights from customer reviews:
Strong Smoke Odor and Safety Concerns: "Smells immediately of smoke when you enter and continues to smell of smoke in the bedrooms. Our hotel room had a plastic bag on the smoke detector (see photo)." This is a major health and safety concern.
Cleanliness Issues: "used bar of soap in the shower," "bed was sooooo dirty," and a general "it's not clean and the room smelled" indicate significant cleanliness problems.
Misleading Parking Information: "they have a ton of advertising around the building for free parking included with your stay - parking lot was under construction." This is a significant point of frustration for guests expecting a promised amenity.
Room Design and Condition: "The shower literally is flat on the floor with a tiny half inch lip to prevent(doesn't actually prevent anything) water over flow. The rooms are pretty small... the lighting was atrocious... the lighting in the bathroom was horrid... and the lighting in the room was pretty bad as well." These points suggest poor design and functionality.
Noise and Atmosphere: "You could hear allot of the Atlantic Avenue traffic even with the windows closed. Not relaxing. ... I have heard woman screaming all night because she's having sex with a man , I called the front desk but he didn't do anything." "The vibe of the hotel is honestly the worst. It feels like a rinky dink sneaky link spot." These are severe criticisms of the hotel's environment and guest experience.
Value for Money: For a price point of $300, a reviewer stated, "it's a 'hell no. would never again' for me. If the price point was at a hundred bucks i wouldn't have complained so much." This highlights a significant mismatch between perceived value and cost.
While the location and basic amenities are present, the pervasive negative feedback on cleanliness, safety, noise, and overall quality are critical considerations that overshadow the positive aspects.
Like many hotels, especially those in the budget or mid-range category, the Bkway Hotel Brooklyn may offer various promotions or special rates to attract guests. However, specific offers are dynamic and would need to be confirmed directly with the hotel or through booking platforms. Common types of promotions typically include:
Seasonal Rates: Prices for hotel rooms in New York City often fluctuate based on the time of year, local events, and demand. Guests might find lower rates during off-peak seasons (e.g., certain winter months) or on weekdays.
Online Booking Discounts: Hotels sometimes provide special rates for bookings made directly through their preferred online booking partners or their own website, if they have one.
Extended Stay Discounts: For guests planning to stay for multiple nights (e.g., 3 nights, a week, or longer), hotels may offer a reduced nightly rate to incentivize longer bookings.
Last-Minute Deals: If rooms are still available close to the check-in date, the hotel might offer discounted rates to fill vacancies.
One customer review makes a notable comment about pricing, stating, "If the price point was at a hundred bucks i wouldn't have complained so much. For $300 it's a 'hell no. would never again' for me." This suggests that prospective guests should carefully consider the nightly rate in relation to the expected quality and the widespread negative feedback.
To inquire about any current promotions, the best available rates for your specific dates, or any special offers, it is highly recommended to contact the Bkway Hotel Brooklyn directly using the provided phone numbers. Asking about all available discounts and understanding the total cost before booking is essential.
For all inquiries regarding reservations, room availability, specific hotel policies, or to address any concerns before or during your stay at the Bkway Hotel Brooklyn, you can use the following contact details:
Address: 3192 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11208, USA
Phone: (347) 240-8577
Mobile Phone: +1 347-240-8577
The provision of both a standard phone number and a mobile phone number offers flexibility for guests to communicate with the hotel. Direct contact is often the most reliable way to obtain the most accurate and up-to-date information, confirm any current promotions, or clarify details about amenities such as parking (given conflicting information in reviews). When calling, it is advisable to have your desired dates of stay and any specific questions prepared to ensure an efficient and informative discussion.
For locals in the New York region, particularly those within Brooklyn or visiting from other boroughs, the Bkway Hotel Brooklyn's suitability hinges heavily on very specific circumstances and a clear understanding of its documented realities. It is not a hotel that would typically be recommended for a leisurely stay or for guests seeking a premium experience.
Its primary suitability for locals lies in its highly accessible location on Atlantic Avenue. For someone needing a very temporary, one-night stay in the immediate vicinity of East New York due to an unforeseen circumstance, a very late arrival, or a very early departure (especially with close proximity to the A/C subway lines for JFK access), the hotel's geographical placement offers undeniable convenience. If a local is hosting a visitor who prioritizes only location and a bare-bones bed for the night, and cost is a significant constraint, it might be considered. The hotel's 24-hour front desk also provides a practical service for those with unpredictable schedules.
However, it is crucial for locals to approach this option with extreme caution, directly confronting the extensive and severe negative feedback from recent guests. The consistent complaints about strong smoke odors, suspected safety hazards (plastic bag on smoke detector), fundamental cleanliness issues (used soap, dirty bed), significant noise, and a generally uninviting atmosphere ("rinky dink sneaky link spot") are serious concerns. The misleading advertising regarding "free parking" is also a point of frustration for local residents who understand the difficulty of parking in NYC.
For a local, the decision to stay at Bkway Hotel Brooklyn would likely stem from absolute necessity for a single night, where location overrides all other considerations, and they are prepared for potential significant discomfort. Given that reviews indicate similar or better quality hotels can be found for the same price in the city, most locals would likely "definitely skip it" if alternative options are available. The primary "suitability" is therefore limited to scenarios of desperation where the Atlantic Avenue location is paramount and expectations for comfort and quality are extremely low.

Bkway Hotel Brooklyn Reviews
Horrible. Please don’t stay here unless you must. If we hadn’t been so tired from travel, we would’ve left.Smells immediately of smoke when you enter and continues to smell of smoke in the bedrooms. Our hotel room had a plastic bag on the smoke detector (see photo) and a used bar of soap in the shower. The staff was friendly and helpful, though.
May 25, 2025 · Alisa MIf you're desperate and need a night in that location then go for it - it's not a roach motel, it's clean with new fixings. But if you can go some where else, definitely skip it. You can go to really really nice hotels in the city for the same price. Here's my review: starting with entry. The guy who (didnt) greet us at the door- i don't even think he cracked a smile once. The service was lacking. The rooms are pretty small. The shower literally is flat on the floor with a tiny half inch lip to prevent(doesn't actually prevent anything ) water over flow. The vibe of the hotel is honestly the worst. It feels like a rinky dink sneaky link spot. For $300 it's a "hell no. would never again" for me. If the price point was at a hundred bucks i wouldn't have complained so much. Also, the lighting was atrocious. It got good sunlight with the windows open so that was ok but the lighting in the bathroom was horrid and there was no windows to save it. And the lighting in the room was pretty bad as well (day and night). We couldn't figure out the tv. The location is what really saves this hotel. But few more complaint lol. You could hear allot of the Atlantic Avenue traffic even with the windows closed. Not relaxing. Oh last thing i forgot - they have a ton of advertising around the building for free parking included with your stay - parking lot was under construction. Lol smh. Like i said, If you're desperate and need a night in that location then go for it -But if you can go some where else, definitely skip it. May 31, 2025 · Jelisa TrueI just stayed here. I was a little skeptical with it being a new hotel but wow was I surprised. Checking in was smooth. I was stuck here due to the snow storm and it was such a pleasant stay. Not to far from the airport either. Rooms super clean and spacious. Best of all because it’s a new hotel the prices were fair!! Will definitely be back for the summer.
Feb 12, 2025 · Uhhchah SnakThe room was not cleaned before hand; i could tell someone occupied the room and it was left as is; ( bedsheets were on the floor, trash / used towels in the bathroom & cigarette butts on the window sill ), 3night stay and housekeeping never passed by.There’s no parking lot (I was able to park on the sidewalk but I had move my car by 9am as advised) , there is also no microwave at all - and to top it off ; i had to go to the front desk to re-actívate the room card EVERYSINGLE TIME i came back in from outside.I don’t recommend staying here but If you absolutely must ; I suggest you Book online because the receptionist will charge you twice as much.
Mar 21, 2025 · Ma’yi MelenaThis place is horrifying-do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. The room was not clean and felt unsafe, and the concierge struggled with English, making communication difficult. My phone requests went unanswered, and the floor was incredibly noisy all night. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone except maybe my worst enemy. Only book here if you’re absolutely desperate for a room.
