Borough Park Reviews
Great park for toddlers. Lots of slides, swings, and climbing equipment. Loved the stream nearby and can’t wait to return in the summer. The wooden playscape is older but unique and has interesting obstacles. My only complaint is that it does feel like 3 separate parks with 3 play areas, but they are relatively close. I just had to follow my toddler around as he went from playscape to playscape. There were bathrooms, a little free library, and 2 pavilions with picnic tables as well.
Nov 06, 2024 · Tina MusichI recently spent a day at Borough Park with my family, and it was such a great experience. The park has a little bit of everything, so there was never a dull moment. My little one absolutely loved the three different playgrounds—she bounced between them, and it kept her busy for hours! Plus, she had a blast playing in the gaga pit, which was a fun find.We also checked out the bocce ball courts, which were perfect for a laid-back game with the adults. The walking path is really peaceful too—perfect for a casual stroll or just taking in the scenery. The park is also home to some well-kept baseball and softball fields. Even though we didn’t play, it’s nice to know there’s space for that if we want to in the future.Overall, it’s just a great spot to relax, get some fresh air, and enjoy a variety of activities with the family. Definitely a park I’ll be coming back to!
Nov 10, 2024 · DenisseNew to me: Lovely, safe & quiet little family-friendly park tucked along the stream leading into Whites Pond, bordered by a suburban neighborhood across the street. Friends held a kids' birthday party here (arrangements through Waldwick Municipal). Three enclosed playgrounds for different age levels (the stream side is freely accessible & thus *not* fenced), newer clean benches, large green space for group games or just running around, large picnic pavilion with tables & grills, plenty of parking. Walking path accessible to other side of stream, wooded; walkers & dog-walkers. I saw a loon diving in the stream, and there are Canada geese walking around (therefore, abundant goosepoop - one drawback, but hardly avoidable in parks these days). A little microtrash around, but typical, I suppose; trash cans are plentiful. Also learned a valuable lesson: that kids aged 8 & under don't need big assembly-line party-franchise birthdays - a little planning, and simple unstructured runaround time in a safe place with family & friends - like recess, but better - can be plenty fun!(First photo should be 360° panorama, if the format is permitted.)
Jun 04, 2023 · Kim “Karlijn” JonesHad my wedding at the gazebo and was blessed with beautiful weather and freshly landscaped greenery.
May 01, 2023 · Nicole ReyesGreat playgrounds for all ages. My 2.5 year also loved throwing rocks into a nearby stream.Update: The smaller playground for younger kids is perfect and in great shape. The wooden playground is sketchy at best. Many of the wooden supports are rotten and the planks on the playground are supported by very little. It's only a matter of time before it collapses and someone gets very hurt. It's amazing that it's past inspections.
