Camp Hero Bluff at Turtle Cove Reviews
As a Long Island wedding and proposal photographer, I’m always scouting jaw-dropping locations—and Camp Hero Bluff at Turtle Cove is one of my all-time favorites. The trail is easy to moderate with stunning coastal views that are chef’s kiss perfect for surprise Montauk proposals, romantic engagement sessions, or dreamy elopements. The bluff gives you that wide-open sky-meets-ocean drama, and there’s something magical about the light here—golden hour hits different. I’ve helped grooms plan proposals here (yes, I scout, map, and coach so your moment is perfect 💍📸), and the reactions are always priceless.
May 23, 2025 · Elise MargolinA wonderful place to visit if you want to get away from the city. Take as much time admiring the views from the high bluffs. There are many view points where you can see the ocean. Also there are a few trails where you can walk, ride a bike, or drive your car. I do not recommend you go in the trails with a normal car like a sedan. Only offroads vehicles, reason is there some huge puddles left by rain who knows how deep they are. You dont want to get stuck!!!. Also theres a small little bathroom and some garbage cans to dispose of you trash if you eat something. Be extremely careful not to get too near the edge on the bluffs.
Apr 22, 2020 · Marvin GarciaBeautiful views of Montauk Point Lighthouse and the point. Tons of trails and hiking paths. Off Artillery Road, lots of hiking and walking paths through and around the former Montauk USAF Base.
Jun 22, 2020 · James RaynorIf you love cliff photos then you will love this spot and you have a change to see Montauk lighthouse from another angels
Apr 02, 2022 · Sunny OrchidBeautiful state park with old military bunkers and a huge radar tower. Beautiful views of the lighthouse and bluffs. Plenty of hiking trails and biking trails. A little but eerie on some of the trails walking through areas with possible explosives and shuttered military bunkers. A must see.
