While primarily known for its summer camp programs, the facility also caters to various group events, making it a flexible and accommodating choice for a wide array of needs. The ethos of Camp Tommy revolves around fostering personal growth, developing new skills, and encouraging a deep appreciation for the natural world, all within a safe and supportive community.
Camp Tommy is conveniently located at 436 Van Wyck Lake Rd, Fishkill, NY 12524, USA. This prime location places it approximately 65 miles north of New York City, making it highly accessible for New York residents. The journey from the city typically involves a relatively straightforward drive, allowing for a quick transition from urban hustle to tranquil nature. For those relying on public transportation, options like the Metro-North train line to nearby Beacon or other accessible towns might be available, often with shuttle services arranged for specific events or programs. While some facilities within the broader Sharpe Reservation may have features for accessibility, Camp Tommy's specific setup leans into a more traditional, nature-immersive camping experience. Visitors for events are advised to consider the natural landscape when planning their visit.

Camp Tommy Reviews
Camp Tommy is a great location for any event , great facilities and beautiful setting in nature for weddings, or in our case a fantastic men’s weekend with over 50 participants who all had a great time. Staff is great and the prices are reasonable
Oct 06, 2023 · Robert GeilsMarvelous program giving these kids a couple weeks in nature. Just wish they would clean the windows of the meal hall.
Jul 12, 2019 · Martin KippSmaller camp than the others with 3 villages: Tanzania (Hideaway) for boys ages 12-13, Ticonderoga (Middle Earth) for boys ages 13-14, and Tonawanda (Apex) for boys ages 14-15. They also have CIT's (Counselors In Training) but you have to be 16 before all 4 summer session ends otherwise you miss your chance of becoming a CIT. You only need to attend one session of CIT to become JC (Junior Counselor). Again, you only need to attend one session of JC. Then, you will officially become a GC (General Counselor).
Sep 21, 2019 · Matthew KimAbsolutely horrible. The food most of the time was terrible, the cabins aren't clean, infested with bugs of all kinds, and the bathrooms are dirty as hell. I recommend not to go there but if you do insist, see for yourself the horrors that await you.
