Days Inn Fishkill Reviews
Decent hotel.25 Sept 2011 - $85/nightRoom 417 – King, no-smoking, upper floor facing parking (west)This side of the hotel had a lot of road noise. This hotel was only about half full during our stay. The bed was too firm for our preference. Internet was adequate but room lacked space for more than one person to set up computer. The dresser/TV stand is a massive unit that takes up a lot of floor space. No place to leave second suitcase open, other than floor, because who wants to place clothing and other items in the dresser drawers for a one night stay. The room lacked electrical outlets for occupant use. This is a typical problem with most hotels: If staying multiple days they want us to re-use the towels to conserve water (by reducing the laundry load), but there are not enough towel bars. There is also no place to hang your toiletry bag that is convenient. I guess hooks and towel bars are too expensive. We need some place to hang these things. We would be glad to re-use our towels, if there were more towel bars.
Oct 03, 2011 · Donald WiyningerOn July 20th 2015 I reserved two rooms for two nights for my family of 6. Upon checking in we found that one of the rooms was fine, but the other room had an extremely strong and offensive moldy odor. My wife and I sat in the room for 15 minutes to see if we could adjust to the smell, but just found that we got sick from sitting in the room. We went to the front room to request different rooms. The clerk gave us two other options but both of the alternate rooms had just as strong of a moldy odor as the one we wanted to switch out.Having no other options, our family had to find another hotel which was more expensive, not to mention the hassle of relocating. At this point - let me just note that we don't have asthma or allergies. We are generally very tough travelers. We have never before even requested before to change rooms after having stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years. We are not what you would call picky and we have much better things to do with our time.I requested a full refund from the front desk manager. This request seemed reasonable based on the fact that (1) the alternate rooms he offered were uninhabitable, (2) the fact that we were only in the room for 30 minutes and left the rooms as we found them and (3) the significant inconvenience in relocating with young children. He informed me that my card had been charged for two rooms for two nights and that the manager would have to make the call on issuing me a refund and he would pass on my request. It took multiple attempts until the manager finally contacted me. He offered me a partial refund. I continued to press for a full refund. At this point the manager accused me of lying and hung up on me. At this point I have no idea where my request stands.
Jul 24, 2015 · Charles TruittFirst of all the front desk sent us to a room that was already occupied. It was very awkward and embarrassing to walk into someone else's room, at 9pm.The next room we were given smelt funny. Bathtub faucet was loose. Insufficient towels provided, and when asked for more, the front desk said that she was alone and could not leave her station and that we should come down and get them ourselves. So much for hospitality!!Breakfast was just meh, except for the fresh waffles.A less than average place to stay at.
Jun 29, 2015 · Anuprita PalkarWorst customer service ever.I traveled all the way from MD and arrived @ 11.00Pm. Front desk attendant had no problem being rude & not showing any care about me as a customer. The night manager wasn't even in formal dress. Also no name badges worn & terrible communication about billing and process of staying. Holiday Inn across the street is the better option.
