Chelsea Park Reviews
Chelsea Park is a mid range size park with a lot going for it. It has the usual playground for the kids with the usual (for Clifton) jungle gym and swings, as well as tennis courts, but with a couple extra things not found in other Clifton parks. It has a mini merry go round, and a couple of very becoming, and quite popular, stone turtle sculptures that the kids love to "ride" on. The Allwood Library, located next to the park, has a nice little book nack for people to donate books, or pick up for free, and several Veterans memorials, one very touching one by a VFW Post, and a planted commemorative ash tree called "Operation Silent Witness" grown from the seeds of a green ash tree from Denison Texas, birthplace of General, and later, President Dwight Eisenhower, dedicated to all World War 2 Veterans from Clifton, who served their country during that time. There are also a couple of walking paths in the park with tree shaded benches for relaxing on.
