Chrystie House Bed & Breakfast Reviews
My partner and I stayed at the Chrystie House for a long weekend away from the city, and it was so lovely! Our room was beautiful, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the innkeeper, Lynn, was very kind and helpful! We got there a few hours before check-in, but I had called ahead so we were able to keep our bags there while we explored the town. The bed and breakfast is at a great location, just a 25 minute walk from Main Street. The property is beautiful, as is the house. We’d definitely stay here again.
May 25, 2025 · Meghan SWe visited Beacon from NYC for a long weekend away and staying at the Chrystie House was perfect. Its a home with a deep history that the owners spent years restoring, so as an architect I was in awe. Lynn and her family were great hosts and great stewards for the home (the son is amazingly talented at piano too). I loved the breakfast; we had quiche, fruit and croissant. It was nice and light which was perfect for our more active plans in the town. Our room was cozy and very quiet. You could hear the train faintly, but we couldn't hear any other rooms/guests (we didn't even know anyone else was staying until breakfast). The location was about 30 min walk (7 min drive) from Main Street. I would definitely recommend family and friends to stay here and I would come back in the future.
Jun 01, 2025 · Leah SmithI recently stayed at the Chrystie House in Beacon and had a delightful experience. The house is beautiful and has a charming feel to it, making for a calm and relaxing stay. It was exactly what we were looking for. Its location is great for visiting Beacon, with easy access to the Dia art center and nearby hiking trails. The attention to detail in the room and common areas was nice, and it's clear they put effort into making guests feel welcome.I would recommend the Chrystie House to anyone looking for a peaceful place to stay in Beacon. It's a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the town!
May 30, 2025 · Brian MarlyMy boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chrystie House. The entire house is beautifully decorated and maintained. We loved all of the vintage and antique pieces throughout the house. We stayed in the Albert Chrystie room and the bed was super comfortable. Our hostess, Lynn, was attentive and caring. She made sure we were well taken care of and that we were having an enjoyable stay. Breakfast in the morning was delicious with fresh fruit salads, great coffee, and homemade croissants and quiches. The cherry on top of our stay was the nightly piano played by Lynn's son that can be heard all throughout the house and enjoyed in the parlor. It really felt like being transported back in time and was such a refreshing way to experience Beacon.
Mar 22, 2025 · Shaan SmithChrystie House is a true gem of a bed-and-breakfast. My fiancé Andrew and I spent a wonderful birthday weekend there and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The house itself is stunning—beautifully maintained with gorgeous grounds, a peaceful atmosphere, and charming historic touches like the grand piano and cozy library in the common area. The beds were incredibly comfortable, everything was spotless (we walked around barefoot and didn’t see a speck of dust!), and the whole place had a warm, welcoming feel.We stayed for two nights and woke each morning to the most delicious homemade breakfast prepared by the owner. She served perfectly sweet fresh fruit, buttery croissants right out of the oven, and a rich, savory quiche made with local eggs and organic ingredients. You could taste the care and quality in every bite.Chrystie House is also in a great location—less than five minutes from Main Street, but tucked away enough to feel completely serene and quiet. This was our first time staying at a bed-and-breakfast, and it was such a personal, special experience—far more memorable than a typical hotel. We’re already talking about making this a yearly tradition. Can’t wait to come back!
