The Cliff Gennarelli-Paramus Sports-Plex is strategically located at Garden State Plaza Pkwy, Paramus, NJ 07652, USA. Its address indicates its close proximity to the Garden State Plaza Mall, which is a significant landmark in the area. This location makes it easily accessible for Paramus residents and those from surrounding towns in Bergen County.
However, as some users have noted, finding the exact entrance to the Sports-Plex can sometimes be a bit challenging, as it's described as being "tucked behind" the Garden State Plaza Mall. The access road, Garden State Plaza Parkway, connects Passaic Street and leads to what is essentially part of the mall's parking lot, specifically the section furthest from the main mall entrance. For first-time visitors, using GPS with "Cliff Gennarelli-Paramus Sports-Plex" as the specific destination is highly recommended.
For those arriving by car, there is a dedicated parking lot available. This parking is described as being the section of the Garden State Plaza Mall's parking lot furthest from the mall itself, specifically designated for the Sports-Plex. This provides ample space for visitors attending games, practices, or using the park's facilities.
Public transportation offers additional accessibility. Paramus is well-served by several NJ Transit bus routes (including 163, 171, 175, 709, 770) that have stops on Paramus Road at Arcadian Avenue (Route 4) or Garden State Plaza Boulevard, both within a reasonable walking distance (11-13 minutes) of the Sports-Plex. While a train ride might take longer due to transfers, bus connections make the complex reachable for those relying on public transit. The combination of dedicated parking and nearby bus stops ensures that the Cliff Gennarelli-Paramus Sports-Plex is a convenient and viable option for a broad range of New Jersey residents.

As a municipal sports complex, the Cliff Gennarelli-Paramus Sports-Plex does not typically run commercial "promotions" or "special offers" in the retail sense. Its primary "offer" to the Paramus community is its extensive facilities and the opportunities for recreation it provides. However, there are ways locals can experience value or special access related to the Sports-Plex.
Free Public Access to Courts and Fitness Walk: The tennis courts and fitness walk are generally open to the public for free on a first-come, first-served basis, outside of scheduled Paramus Recreation programs. This is a significant "promotion" in itself, offering valuable recreational amenities without a fee.
Paramus Recreation Programs: The Sports-Plex is the primary venue for numerous youth and adult sports programs organized by the Paramus Recreation Department. While these programs often have registration fees, they provide structured, high-quality athletic instruction and league play at rates designed for community accessibility. Information on these programs and their enrollment periods can be found through the Paramus Recreation Department (contact details below). These represent a form of "special offer" for organized sports engagement.
Volunteer Opportunities: The snack bar is run by volunteers from athletic programs. Engaging as a volunteer, while not a discount, offers a unique way to support local sports and gain a deeper connection to the community and the Sports-Plex operations.
Permit-Based Field Use: While organized group activities on the fields require a permit (which may involve a fee), this structured system ensures fair access and management of the facilities, allowing various leagues and teams to utilize the high-quality fields effectively. This organized access ensures optimal playing conditions and fair usage for the community's benefit.

It serves as an indispensable resource for fostering active lifestyles and community engagement.

This is critical for promoting physical activity, teamwork, and healthy competition among children and adults alike. Cliff Gennarelli-Paramus Sports-Plex Reviews
Good location for public courts. However the nets are in terrible shape. In May 2024, one was torn on top with a 2 ft hole, the other was completely sagged. I hope these get taken care of soon. They're nice courts and Paramus Rec plays here
May 02, 2024 · Fred DawliThe fields are nice and well kept. Great playground and the bathrooms were definitely cleaner then what I expected them to be. Only draw back was it was a bit hard to find. Definitely should say tucked behind garden state plaza mall
May 13, 2023 · Sonja Pusaver070322 live music, then fireworks070421 Paramus Fiteworks Show, always an enjoyable time ....
Jul 04, 2022 · B.B.B. -It was very run down. I thought it would be nice when I drove by but the complex has not been well taken care of. It needs to be renovated. There's also a net on the playground to protect the kids from foul balls hitting them. But the net has many birds sit and poop all over the playground. I don't feel safe having my daughter playing on a playground covered with poop.
Jul 25, 2016 · Eric ZhangSo the complex is amazing and very well maintained the big problem is that the security cameras are positioned right over the woman's bathrooms. The woman's bathrooms have skylights to let in natural lighting but also let the camera look in. It's very shocking and disturbing. It should be fixed
