May 14, 2025 · MarielaThis was our families third time staying at the retreat. We had to change the dates of our reservation and Nicky was extremely helpful and took care of this for us. We stayed in the liberty outlook suite. It’s a beautiful cabin and great for families with young kids. The views are fantastic. However when we arrived there were items still in the fridge from a previous guest and one of the rails inside the wardrobe was broken. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. We ate at the restaurant and the food was ok. I think the menu is a little ambitious for the type of cooking facilities. I also think a simpler menu may work better for the setting. Maybe something a little more casual. We discussed with a few other guests that something like a burger or some pizzas would be great especially for families with kids. There is only one kid option which is pasta with butter. The breakfast was very enjoyable. We had yogurt with granola and some fresh fruits and coffee. There was also some pastries with jam.Overall we had a great stay and really enjoyed the setting. The staff were great. Hopefully it was is taken into consideration the dinner options as I think it would make a big difference to people’s dining experience.
May 14, 2025 · Sarah Mc NaughtAn amazing experience all around. Staff are lovely. The restaurant was delicious. Waking up to the views of the statue of liberty and lower manhattan is incredible.
Apr 18, 2025 · Laura WrightVery accommodating and helpful staff. We were picked up by golf cart promptly despite me texting them as we were heading to the ferry. Excellent food and cocktails and a simple but nice breskfast served at the tent at the time promised. Tent was pretty good but I wouldn't call it luxurious. Had a great view of the Statue of Liberty out the front. My only complaint is it is loud at night so we did not sleep well but that's not really the fault of the Collective. Even with ear plugs and white noise the planes and ferries are loud so be prepared. I assume one of their few rooms that is more of an actual building would be less noisy.
Oct 24, 2024 · Chad KruseHad a great experience at collective retreats. The tents were very clean and luxurious. The staff were amazing. I missed dinner service by 20 minutes and the staff stayed a little late to make something to eat for me and my wife. I really appreciated that because it shows the guest first culture that they have at the property. The next morning my wife attended the complimentary yoga class and I had coffee on the beautiful deck looking at the Statue of Liberty and watching the Staten Island ferry go by. I even got to meet the GM Evan as he asked me how my stay was. I would recommend staying at this property, it was warm, welcoming and a relaxing place to enjoy with my wife.
