Governors Island Outlook Hill Reviews
It just so happened that on a weekday before Memorial Day with clouds and a little bit of rain, we were the only tourists on Outlook Hill. I cannot tell you how incredible it felt to have the whole place to ourselves. I would highly recommend doing this if you get the opportunity. I have been to Governors Island and this hill countless times, and it is always amazing, but this was really special.
May 14, 2025 · Starasia StarrThis island had become of of my favorite spots to getway from the chaotic nature of NYC. And this spot offer the best views, you get a full 360 view of the lower hudson bay, Manhattan downtown skyline. Definitely worth visiting, you won't regret it. You'll be able to take plenty of Instagram worthy photos.
Jan 15, 2025 · Mikeyy LunarezzWe love Governor's island! For some reason most people omit to come here when they come to New York. Not sure why ? I think it is because people have the believe it is going to take a long time.It is actually a bit time consuming as you have to take a boat (which is very cheap, don't remember how much but I paid something like 40 USD max for 4 people!), but I personally believe it is well worth it.You get unbelievable view on Wall Street when you depart, then you get a really nice back view of the Status of Liberty, and the island is actually quite large. This is one of those visits you can start doing when you have already done quite a lot in NY.Similar than going to Coney Island.Last but not least I would advise you to rent a bike once on the island as this is really fun !
Oct 03, 2024 · Paul VivasHidden GEM? of NYC. Its an entire island and cant believe more be people don't go here. Take the ferry from Brooklyn before NOON and its Free! The views form here are majestic and if its breezy the best place to be on a hot day. If you make it the island you have to visit the top. You can climb the odd shaped stone sculpture block steps or there is a paved winding path to the top as well.
Jul 26, 2022 · pd spehCame here to Governors Island for an event with Goldman Sachs. There was a very diverse crowd with multiple departments here to enjoy the festivities. Here you have not only a beautiful view of the surrounding area but also the Jersey City and NYC skylines. Beanbags soccer and Food for all involved. The temperature out here was definitely a Debby Downer with it seeming like it's 110 degrees out. Governor's island definitely has some historical significance as well.
