Columbus Park Introduce
For residents of Cliffside Park, New Jersey, and our neighboring communities, Columbus Park stands as a familiar landmark and a cornerstone of local recreation. Located at 785 Anderson Avenue, this park isn't just a patch of green; it's a vibrant center for athletic endeavors, community gatherings, and everyday outdoor enjoyment. Whether you're a parent cheering on your child's championship game, a local looking for a place to get some fresh air, or an athlete seeking a well-maintained field, Columbus Park plays a significant role in the rhythm of our local life.
Columbus Park is perhaps best known for its beautifully maintained athletic fields, which serve as the backdrop for countless youth sports events. From soccer to baseball and beyond, these fields are where our local teams compete, hone their skills, and create lasting memories. As one recent visitor noted, the "Field is beautifully maintained," a testament to the care and attention given to this vital community asset. It's a place that embodies the spirit of local sportsmanship and healthy activity.
However, like many urban parks, Columbus Park also reflects the realities of its surroundings. Being nestled amidst residential areas, it offers a unique "park feel" that integrates directly into the fabric of the neighborhood. While this close proximity to homes creates a strong sense of community integration, it also presents challenges, particularly when it comes to parking during popular events. Despite these considerations, Columbus Park remains a cherished and essential part of the Cliffside Park landscape, consistently drawing residents for its recreational offerings. It's a true local park, serving the immediate needs of our community.
Location and Accessibility
Columbus Park is conveniently located at 785 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ 07010, USA. This address places it squarely within a residential section of the borough, making it highly accessible for many locals who can reach it by foot or bicycle. Anderson Avenue itself is a significant thoroughfare in Cliffside Park, running through much of the borough and connecting various neighborhoods.
For those traveling by car, accessing Columbus Park is generally straightforward given its central location. However, as noted in local feedback, parking can be a significant challenge, especially during peak times like sports games or large events. The park is "surrounded by houses," which means street parking is the primary option and can become very scarce when attendance is high. Visitors should plan to arrive early or consider alternative transportation methods during busy periods.
Public transportation also serves the area around Columbus Park. NJ Transit bus routes run along Anderson Avenue and nearby streets, providing connections to other parts of Cliffside Park, neighboring towns, and directly into New York City. While a direct bus stop might not be immediately at the park's entrance, the general accessibility of public transport in Cliffside Park means that a short walk from a bus stop is often all that's required to reach the park. Despite the parking considerations, the park's embedded location within a residential area ensures it remains a central and highly utilized green space for the community.

Columbus Park Reviews
This wires have been out for at least 3 years ! All moms mentioned it to the guys who were taking care of landscaping multiple times and they said they will let manager know . ( not blaming them) But Nothing was done. Its very dangerous even if there is no electricity- PLEASE COVER IT
Mar 31, 2025 · K LoNice park. Went there fir my daughter's championship game. Field is beautifully maintaned. Inly gripes are the location. Very very hard to find parking especially when there is a game going on. The field is surrounded by houses. So much that actually takes the park feel away. Feels claustrophobic and tight. The canteen had choices but drinks were not easily visible. The sound system was really low so could not here the players names announced. I guess they do that for respect of the neighbors vecause the houses are just that close to the field. Getting to the visitor dug out you have to practically go through the home players dugout.
