As a special-use, permit-only facility of the Morris County Park Commission, Craigmeur Recreation Complex does not typically offer traditional "promotions" or "special offers" in the commercial sense. Its value proposition lies in providing a dedicated, private venue for large gatherings. However, its operational model inherently offers several "special advantages" and benefits for those looking to host events:
- Exclusive Use by Permit: The primary "special offer" is the ability to reserve the complex for exclusive use during your event. This means your group will have private access to the grounds and amenities, ensuring a more intimate and controlled environment free from public interruptions. This exclusivity is invaluable for large corporate functions, family reunions, or private celebrations.
- Comprehensive Amenities for a Single Fee: While there is a fee to use the park, the comprehensive suite of amenities—including athletic fields, picnic areas, potentially clean bathrooms, and parking—is bundled under the permit. This provides excellent value for event organizers who would otherwise need to coordinate multiple vendors or locations for similar offerings.
- Versatility for Event Customization: The expansive 70 acres and diverse facilities offer significant flexibility for event customization. This is a "special offer" for planners, as they can design their event to include sports tournaments, casual games, structured activities, or simply free play, all within one secure and dedicated space. This adaptability allows for truly unique and memorable experiences.
- Natural Scenic Backdrop: The beautiful natural setting in Newfoundland provides a visually appealing and refreshing backdrop for any event. This aesthetic appeal, which comes with the booking, is a significant "special offer" that enhances the overall ambiance and enjoyment of outdoor gatherings.
- Dedicated Customer Service: While not a promotional discount, the Morris County Park Commission’s reservation staff provides dedicated assistance in planning and securing the complex for events. This level of support ensures a smoother booking process and helps event organizers navigate the logistics, effectively serving as a valuable "offer" of guidance and expertise.
It's important to note that while the pool is mentioned in older reviews, current information from the Morris County Park Commission indicates that the complex is a "special use site with available athletic fields, open space, large pavilion and tent areas, wooded trails, and large open parking areas" and does not list a pool. This suggests the pool may no longer be operational or available for public or private use, likely due to operational costs as hinted at in the reviews. Therefore, prospective users should confirm specific amenities with the Morris County Park Commission when booking.

Beautiful, we hiked all the way up
Jul 21, 2022 · Dayna TanisPool is closed costs too much to operate county park closes at 6 pm on SundayPlenty of picnic tables clean bathroomI don't know if there is a fee to use the park.I didn't like the idea of being chased out by 6pm.
Jun 26, 2018 · asllan perovicWe had our Family Reunion at the Yellow Pavillion at Craigmeur State Park in Sept. 2017. What an awesome outside property. I dealt with Mrs. Russo to book the site and was able to tour the facility with Mr. Andrews who was also our caretaker for the day. The pavillon we choose was the smaller of the three, but still would have held four times the amount of people (60) in our family. They do not supply food or drink and although they do have fields for soccer and softball ad well as basketball and shuffleboard, you will need to bring your own supplies to play, which we did. The tent above the pavillion was brand new, the floor was asphalt and level, there were a few electrical outlets to power up cooking and assorted appliances. Mr. Andrews was there when needed and offered up additional amenities at no additional cost. The bathrooms are close by and very clean and up to date. I highly recommend giving Mrs. Russo a call if you are considering a company, group or family outing. You will have a great time.
Jan 24, 2018 · Michael W Carmeci SrThis is a nice place for outdoor events like large-scale picnics. It is owned by the county so it seems that they use it very little and I don't know if it's available for public rental. It's a shame because it seems to be just going to waste
Sep 29, 2017 · Susan BGreat place for an easy hike! There is a magnificent view if you go to the top. Perfect for group picnics.
