Sun-Air Lakeside Camp Reviews
I was a seasonal camper, which means I had my trailer there and I would have access from may-oct and which was great u could go there year round you would have to pay 10. Per person I spent many years on nye there. But as life went on we left and raised my family, we went back in 2012 oh I’m sorry I was there originally from 1974-1995. So we went back to our old spot, and this place went to hell, they have a lot of well not to be disrespectful you know the folks that live with camo net over there whole campsite so there living there now, the bathrooms had not been cleaned or updated since the 70.s literally the showers also you would have to stand in the shower on certain flooring because if you stepped on the wrong one you will fall through the floors, the lake was no in years , j lastly the park area looked abandoned and you better have at the least a truck because the ruts on what they call roads
Apr 22, 2025 · jeff heffAll I can say is the previous reviews were accurate, the park has potential that requires work! Super nasty bathrooms no hot water for coin operated showers. And yes, the barking pit bull is also accurate and he got loose!!
Jul 31, 2023 · donna searcyIt’s such a disaster to come here, dumping the black and grey tanks. We wait for more than two hours just emptied 1/3 because of sun down. Their tank was full already. They still charge you $25!
Jul 12, 2023 · Donna GerlearIt’s such a disaster to come here. Very bad service. The sewer drain was blocked , going down very slowly. It took us about two hours to empty the tank. Before sundown, we had to leave without finishing dumping. We recommended by a local service. Never come here again!!!
May 10, 2024 · Z W.A nice, small, private, family owned and operated campground. The familymanagement seems nice enough and were quick to answer questions about the campground via email. Although, I would recommend they further develop/update their website to include more information about the campsite like the amenities, facilities, camp map, area stores, medical facilities, etc. so that prospective campers can do their research ahead of time.Overall, the sites are nicely wooded and secluded for the most part, you can see your neighbors, but they're not right on top of you. We stayed in the number 6 site, right along the lake with a nice canopy and layout to accommodate 15 people with 6 tents and parking for 6-8 vehicles. The small lake has a small beach roped off for swimming and has plenty of fish and some growth along the edges, but that's a minor hassle considering no fishing license is required. Some issues we felt need to be addressed are that fishing should be restricted from the swimming area, the access road requires some maintenance, the water and electric in the tent sites could be better designed for access/safety. The biggest fail are the bathroom/shower facilities which seem like they're only cleaned, at most, once/month and look like something straight out of a horror movie.Another rather large issue is that the site we stayed in had such extremely poor drainage that we had 3-6 inches of standing water during a storm as the site appeared to be the water collection area for all the runoff in the campground. As much as we would like to support the small businesses and mom n pop establishments, we will not be returning to this campsite. One other point is not so much for the campground as much as the guests who stay there and just an overall observation about the human condition:BE CONSIDERATE - people will be using the site after you so CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES (think minimal impact) and don't compromise the safety of others (e.g. breaking GLASS and not picking it up).
