Guest rooms are generally described as "clean and easy to make yourself at home," focusing on functionality and cleanliness, which are paramount for a pleasant stay. While some reviews indicate minor maintenance issues such as "melted plastic near the bed" or a closet "without a door," the overall environment aims for a standard of comfort expected from a Crowne Plaza property. The hotel's location on S Van Brunt St provides relatively easy access within Englewood, likely placing it conveniently for both local business and access to major roadways for regional travel. The presence of an indoor swimming pool adds a recreational dimension to the hotel's environment, offering a climate-controlled space for relaxation and exercise. As a 'Scenic Spot' offering corresponding services and goods for sale, the Crowne Plaza Englewood by IHG provides a comprehensive suite of hospitality services to its guests. The primary service is, of course, comfortable accommodation, with rooms equipped to facilitate a relaxing stay. Guest services, including "check-in," are handled by staff who are described as "sweet and polite" and providing "huge credit," indicating a focus on customer care, despite some billing issues reported by one guest. A significant service is the availability of an indoor "pool" which is noted as a "nice size and warm as soon as you got in," offering recreational value. The hotel also provides dining services through its "Nice restaurant and bar," catering to various meal preferences. A key service for many travelers is breakfast, offered here as a "buffet hot breakfast for 16.00" and a menu of other dishes, indicating a comprehensive morning meal option, though it is not complimentary like in some "cheaper hotels." For pet owners, the hotel is pet-friendly, providing a service that accommodates furry companions, albeit with a "pet fee." Business travelers benefit from services such as meeting facilities, which are a hallmark of the Crowne Plaza brand, designed for conferences and events. Additional thoughtful services, such as allowing a guest to "use the desk a few times to charge" their device when they "had brought the wrong wire," demonstrate a willingness to assist guests with practical needs. For business purposes, the Crowne Plaza brand is known for its "meeting facilities" and event spaces, which are inherent features of this hotel, accommodating corporate gatherings, conferences, and social events. While not explicitly detailed, standard features like Wi-Fi access, flat-screen televisions, and basic room amenities are expected. Some features may vary, as noted by a reviewer mentioning a thermostat that "only controlled cold air (not helpful in February)" and a closet "didn't even have a door," suggesting that specific room features might differ or require maintenance. The overall aesthetic of the lobby is also a feature, aiming to create a positive initial impression.
Promotional information for the Crowne Plaza Englewood by IHG, leveraging its status as a 'Scenic Spot' for comfortable and convenient stays, would focus on its key strengths. Testimonials highlighting the "Beautiful hotel and a very comfortable atmosphere," "clean and easy to make yourself at home" rooms, and the "nice size and warm" pool would be central to its marketing. The hotel's appeal to business travelers would be emphasized through its meeting facilities and convenient location. The on-site "restaurant and bar" and the "buffet hot breakfast" would be promoted as valuable dining options. The pet-friendly policy is a significant draw and would be highlighted to attract guests traveling with pets, ensuring transparency about any associated fees. While positive aspects should be prominent, any promotional material should also indirectly address areas of concern raised by customers, such as billing accuracy and consistent room quality, perhaps by emphasizing a commitment to guest satisfaction and encouraging direct contact for any issues. The hotel's contact information, (201) 871-2020, would be clearly visible. Digital marketing, including the IHG website, online travel agencies, and social media (e.g., #CrownePlazaEnglewood #EnglewoodHotels #NJHotels #BusinessTravelNJ #PetFriendlyHotel), would be crucial. The focus would be on presenting the Crowne Plaza Englewood as a reliable, amenity-rich option for a comfortable and convenient stay in the Englewood area, capable of meeting the needs of both leisure and corporate guests as a functional and inviting 'Scenic Spot' for temporary lodging.

Crowne Plaza Englewood by IHG Reviews
Beautiful hotel and a very comfortable atmosphere. I give a huge credit to the ladies who handled most of the guest services and check in. The bed and the room were clean and easy to make yourself at home. The pool was a nice size and warm as soon as you got in. When I had brought the wrong wire, they allowed me to use the desk a few times to charge it. Nice restaurant and bar with buffet hot breakfast for 16.00. The shower was great and I loved the apotheke body wash.
May 06, 2025 · HANNAH FRENCHHotel is far from high end and unfortunately while the front desk employee was sweet and polite and did her best, neither her nor the manager billed me correctly. 170$ for one night + 50$ per fee. Currently I’ve been billed $170 for the stay, $50 pet fee TWICE, and somewhere along the lines another charge for 85.97. If you’re looking for breakfast the way cheaper hotels provide for free as part of your stay? Not here. 16$ for buffet style and a menu of other dishes. While speaking to the manager at the front desk they assured me of no other charges being billed as the room was paid in full and the 50$ per fee was settled but yet, I’m billed again for the pet fee and randomly on my statement is a charge for $85.97. Crowne palace has lost my trust and has 0 reason to book another stay with them as even the room itself was no different than a regular cheap hotel. Thermostat in the room only controlled cold air (not helpful in February) carpet itself had some melted plastic near the bed. Closet didn’t even have a door. There’s nothing about this hotel that is luxury outside of the lobby aesthetic. I wouldn’t of left a review but after being assured the payment was done and would not receive further charges, to now see other charges and a double charge, I’m insulted. I could have stayed 5 miles in another direction and had a completely different experience after driving two hours for business.
Feb 20, 2025 · Syid RiveraHere’s the revised version of your review:---From the outside, the hotel looks quite dated and not particularly welcoming, and this theme carries through to the interiors, with the lobby feeling old and in need of an update.Check-in was quick and efficient, which was a positive start. However, one of the two elevators was out of service during my stay, causing significant delays and inconvenience. The rooms are spacious, including the bathrooms, which was appreciated. However, everything—furniture, fixtures, and amenities—felt extremely outdated. The bed was comfortable, but the TV offered very limited channels and looked like it was from the early 2000s. On a brighter note, the room comes with useful extras like a fridge, microwave, coffee machine, and iron. The pool and fitness center were decent and a good option for those looking to relax or get a quick workout in. The lobby also has a small market offering chips, chocolates, and water, which is convenient for grabbing a quick snack.Unfortunately, the breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was disappointing. The selection was minimal and remained the same each day, and the tables and chairs were not particularly clean. The hotel staff were neutral—not the friendliest but not rude either. The location is less than ideal without a car, as nothing is within walking distance. However, there is a nearby bus stop that connects to Manhattan in just over an hour, depending on traffic.Overall, while my stay wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t great either. The hotel has some positives, like the room size, pool, and added amenities, but the dated interiors, breakfast quality, and elevator issues left room for improvement.
Dec 07, 2024 · Faiz KhanMy experience was good until I went to my room after checking in, unlocked the door with the key given to me only to walk in to someone else still in the room. I honestly didn’t know what to feel. I immediately exited the room and went downstairs. The front desk clerk apologized and offered breakfast……. Breakfast, no thank you.Needless to say, I’m glad this is a very short trip.
May 08, 2025 · Michelle MinorStaff was very personable and helpful. Rooms, shower and bath were immaculate. First time here and will surely return.Had surgery earthen next morning after check in.
