Hyatt Place Fort Lee / George Washington Bridge Introduce
The Hyatt Place Fort Lee / George Washington Bridge, located at 2167 Rte 4 E, Fort Lee, NJ 07024, USA, serves as a significant lodging option for travelers passing through or visiting the Fort Lee area, particularly those accessing the George Washington Bridge. As a "Scenic Spot" within the context of a platform offering services and goods, this hotel provides the essential "good" of temporary accommodation and a range of services designed to make a stay comfortable and convenient. While some recent reviews suggest a decline in certain aspects, the hotel continues to offer key amenities and a strategic location that appeal to many guests.
The environment of the Hyatt Place Fort Lee / George Washington Bridge is characterized by its modern design and specific location considerations. The hotel is situated "on a highway," specifically Route 4 East, which, while offering direct access for drivers, means that guests "can't go (by foot) anywhere" easily, limiting pedestrian accessibility to surrounding areas. This implies that the immediate vicinity is car-dependent. Inside, the hotel aims for a contemporary and clean atmosphere. While one recent review noted that a room "wasn’t very clean" upon arrival, with "blue plastic chips on the floor," another reviewer praised the hotel for its "very clean hotel rooms," suggesting variability or perhaps a recent dip that the hotel is addressing. The lobby is described as having a pleasant aroma, as "the lobby smells very good," indicating attention to guest experience in common areas. Despite potential cleanliness issues in individual rooms, the overall impression from other guests suggests a generally well-maintained interior. The comfort of the beds is a consistent positive, with one guest remarking, "The beds are the most comfortable I've ever slept on," which is a crucial element for a restful stay.
The services offered by the Hyatt Place Fort Lee / George Washington Bridge are designed to cater to both business and leisure travelers. Key services include providing accommodation in its various room types. Guests have access to Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, a fundamental service for modern travelers needing to stay connected. Breakfast is "available (paid)," meaning it is offered on-site, providing a convenient dining option, though it is no longer complimentary, which has been a "letdown" for some returning guests. Housekeeping services are available, although one recent review indicated a lack of room cleaning during their multi-night stay, despite speaking to the front desk. This suggests an area where consistency in service delivery may need attention. Parking is a service provided, but it is "paid," which is an important consideration for guests traveling by car. However, the hotel does offer flexibility for long-term stays, as evidenced by a "little discount tho for staying that long," demonstrating some accommodation for guests with extended needs. The front desk staff's willingness to remove parking fees in response to a service issue also speaks to a level of customer service. The hotel's connection to public transit is a significant service, as "Public transit is right out front if you need to ride into NYC," offering convenient access to New York City for sightseers or business travelers without the need for a private vehicle.
The features of the Hyatt Place Fort Lee / George Washington Bridge contribute to its overall value proposition. The "comfortable beds" are a recurring positive feature, ensuring a good night's sleep for guests. The availability of Wi-Fi is a standard yet essential amenity in today's travel landscape. The "large lobby with plenty of seating" provides a comfortable common area for guests to relax, work, or socialize. The paid breakfast, while a change from previous complimentary offerings, still provides a convenient on-site dining option. A noted "con" is that "the rooms are not soundproof," meaning "if someone is up at night and watching TV, you will hear it," which can impact the quality of rest. The paid parking is another significant feature, and while it adds to the cost, the hotel's willingness to offer "a little discount tho for staying that long" shows some flexibility. The strategic location near the George Washington Bridge is a primary feature, making it appealing for those crossing into or out of New York City. The hotel's affiliation with the Hyatt Place brand implies certain standards of quality and design, consistent with a modern hotel chain. The potential for improvement, as suggested by a reviewer, indicates that the hotel is aware of areas that could be enhanced, such as cleanliness consistency and soundproofing, signifying a forward-looking approach.
Promotional information for the Hyatt Place Fort Lee / George Washington Bridge would likely highlight its brand recognition, its location, and its key amenities. The hotel's phone numbers, (201) 849-5900 and +1 201-849-5900, serve as direct contact points for reservations and inquiries. Online travel agencies (OTAs) and their review sections are crucial promotional channels, where the hotel's positive aspects like "very clean hotel rooms" and "comfortable beds" are emphasized, drawing in new customers. While the shift from complimentary to paid breakfast might be a point of concern for some, the continued availability of breakfast is still a selling point for convenience. The hotel's proximity to the George Washington Bridge and direct access to public transit for NYC are major promotional advantages, often featured in its marketing to attract both leisure and business travelers. The feedback about the staff being "very nice and accommodating" and "really helpful" is an invaluable form of organic promotion, as good service significantly influences guest satisfaction and repeat business. The hotel's ability to accommodate long-term stays, and even offer discounts for them, could be a promotional angle for corporate clients or individuals needing extended accommodation. Despite recent challenges mentioned in some reviews, the overall brand reputation of Hyatt Place, combined with its strategic location and core amenities, continues to position it as a relevant lodging option in the Fort Lee area.

Hyatt Place Fort Lee / George Washington Bridge Reviews
I feel like this hotel has gone downhill quite a bit. My family has stayed here several times in the past and always enjoyed it, so we typically choose this hotel when visiting family in NJ. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was disappointing. The room wasn’t very clean when we arrived (see attached photo—there were blue plastic chips on the floor), and we didn’t receive any housekeeping during our stay. We spoke to the front desk, and while they removed one night of parking fees, we would have much preferred housekeeping—especially since we were traveling with a toddler, which meant more trash than usual. On top of that, breakfast is no longer complimentary, which was another letdown. Aside from the location, we’re finding fewer and fewer reasons to choose this hotel going forward.
May 25, 2025 · So dam KimVery clean hotel rooms. We stayed there for almost 3 weeks. The beds are very comfortable.Overall, very satisfied. You have access to wifi and there is also breakfast available (paid). The lobby smells very good.Cons:- the rooms are not soundproof (if someone is up at night and watching TV, you will hear it)- you have to pay for parking (they did give us a little discount tho for staying that long - which speaks for their service)- you can't go (by foot) anywhere, it's basically on a highway
Apr 24, 2025 · Hurricane KatrinaI was traveling with my 83 year old mom and 19 year old daughter. We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We were all very happy with our stay! This was our second stay at this hotel in the past year because of the great location and excellent service. It is so close to NYC, but you don't have to deal with the commotion of being in the city. Very easy to get an Uber in and out of the city. The staff is very friendly, the rooms clean, and spacious and very new. Beds comfy. Everything looks spotless and smells so clean! We had a handicapped room for my mom and it was perfect for her. Very nice breakfast. Thank you to Michael, one of the managers, who was very helpful to us.
Feb 20, 2025 · Kathleen FerriLike others have said, Martha needs to go.Terrible customer service (lack of it)Rooms were dimly lit and depressing.Food was disgusting! 15$ for stale avocado bread that taste bitter! The egg was microwaved?? Disgusting. The front desk people are not accommodating at all, they need to get off their High-horses.Not impressed, lacks hospitality and 0 Class as far as front desk goes.Don’t order the food either 🤮
Jun 01, 2025 · Naya MoonOther than the location being a little hard to get to, this hotel was lovely. I've stayed here twice now and am likely to come here again. While not in the heart of Manhattan, my friends and I were able to spend plenty of time across the bridge while also being close to an excellent Korean spa. Truly relaxing.
