East Village Hotel Introduce
New York City, a vibrant metropolis that never sleeps, often calls for more than just a fleeting visit. Whether you're here for an extended business trip, relocating, undergoing medical treatment, or simply craving a longer immersion in the city's unique culture, finding the right accommodation is key. This is where an extended stay hotel, like the East Village Hotel, truly shines, offering a blend of hotel services and the comforts of home.
An extended stay hotel is designed for travelers who need more than just a few nights. Think of it as your temporary apartment in the city, providing amenities that make long-term living not just possible, but enjoyable. These properties typically feature larger rooms or suites, often equipped with kitchenettes, allowing guests to prepare their own meals and maintain a sense of routine and independence that traditional hotels can't always offer. This can be a significant advantage, especially in a city like New York where dining out can add up quickly.
The East Village Hotel stands out as a prime example of an extended stay option in the heart of one of New York's most iconic neighborhoods. It aims to provide a comfortable and convenient base for those looking to experience New York life at a more relaxed pace, offering practicality and a touch of local charm for both short-term and long-term visitors.

The hotel’s central location ensures excellent accessibility to the rest of the city. Public transportation is just a stone's throw away, making it incredibly convenient to explore various Manhattan attractions and beyond. This means you can easily reach Midtown, Downtown, or even Brooklyn without the hassle of navigating extensive commutes.
Beyond the immediate vicinity, major landmarks like Washington Square Park and 5th Avenue are within a comfortable walking distance, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the city’s iconic sights. The East Village's walkability also means you're never far from essential services, including grocery stores like Block Drug Stores, which is approximately 320 meters away, making it simple to stock your in-room kitchenette. The blend of a lively neighborhood and excellent transit options makes the East Village Hotel a strategically located choice for any extended stay in New York.

For New Yorkers, or those considering a longer-term stay in the city, the East Village Hotel presents a compelling option that goes beyond typical hotel offerings. While not explicitly designed as residential rentals, its extended stay model provides a unique solution for several local needs.
Firstly, if you're undergoing apartment renovations or experiencing an unexpected housing transition, the East Village Hotel can serve as a highly practical temporary home. The in-room kitchenettes are a game-changer, allowing you to maintain your cooking habits and avoid the constant expense of dining out, which can quickly drain your budget in New York City. Having a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, and dishwasher means you can prepare familiar meals, store groceries, and generally live with a level of normalcy that a standard hotel room simply cannot provide. This is especially valuable for families or individuals who prefer home-cooked meals.
Secondly, the hotel’s location in the East Village is a significant draw for locals. This neighborhood is celebrated for its authentic New York vibe, independent spirit, and a true sense of community. Unlike more tourist-heavy areas, the East Village offers a genuine slice of city life with its diverse culinary scene, vibrant arts and music venues, and unique shops. For someone who lives in New York but needs a temporary place, being able to stay in a familiar and beloved neighborhood, with easy access to their usual routines and social circles, is a huge benefit. The excellent public transportation links also mean that commutes to work or other parts of the city remain convenient.
Furthermore, the inclusion of free Wi-Fi, daily housekeeping (which can be a blessing during stressful periods), and pet-friendly policies (for an additional charge) add layers of convenience that cater to a more residential-style stay. While some past guests have noted minor maintenance issues, the overall concept of the East Village Hotel – offering apartment-like amenities in a prime location – makes it a suitable and often cost-effective alternative to short-term apartment rentals, especially when considering the added benefits of hotel services. It’s a chance to seamlessly transition into a temporary living situation without sacrificing the comforts that make a place feel like home, right here in the heart of our amazing city.

East Village Hotel Reviews
Currently Staying here and so disappointed. Although the staff has been friendly, our room was not super clean, the shower door doesn’t shut, the shelf in the shower is broken. We were excited to have a kitchen but we have no coffee maker. I been trying to get one for two days. But the worst part is the huge crater in the mattress. It missing a huge chuck out of it! It’s sad because this place seemed so nice from the pictures and reviews but that is NOT our room.
Apr 17, 2025 · Abby Stratton1st issue was I got here an hour early, and they charged me $20 for early check-in. If I knew this in advance, I would have just gone to Starbucks, chilled out for an hour, and pay less for coffee. 2nd issue. No hair dryer for my girlfriend to use, and they don't have anyone on the premises to bring you a hair dryer even tho the listing said it was available. I regret not looking at Google review before booking!! It is also very loud with people outside!!!
Dec 31, 2024 · Huan DOverall, it was a good stay, clean, easy check-in, and great location. I experienced some issues with the communication. Really appreciate the team's follow-up call to sort that out. It's clear they are trying to continuously improve things with their unique set-up.
Jan 30, 2025 · Youngju Annie ParkNo personnel on site. Dirty dishes in dishwasher. Toilet was running non stop. I called for help and was told they would see if they could find someone to help. I fixed it myself. TV lost connection. I called and asked for login credentials. Was told it would reconnect by itself -- this happens often. Reconnected two hours later. Same thing happened on night two. Finally, worse of all, the room was ice cold. Heat never got above 60 -- set on high fan, heat only blew cold air. Didn't bother calling, they wouldn't help anyway. Oh one more thing -- charged $20 extra to check in 1 hour early. The only good thing was the location.
Jan 10, 2025 · Michael SperlingWe had a great five-night stay on a couple of occasions now. The double-pane windows kept street noise to a minimum, though being an old tenement building, there was some sound from upstairs—not from neighboring rooms, though, which was a relief. The check-in process was seamless, following a contactless setup similar to an Airbnb. The location is fantastic—just a quick trip to NYU, with a Wegmans supermarket at Astor Place and excellent MTA bus routes (M8, M15, SBS M14) that provide easy access to Midtown, Wall Street, and Chelsea. The subway is also convenient, with the L train just a few blocks north and the 6 train a few blocks west. OMNY payment scanners make hopping on public transit effortless with a simple tap of a credit card. There’s no shortage of great coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend Mud Cafe, just a few doors west of the hotel. Tompkins Square Park is also perfect for a morning stroll. The East Village is a wonderful neighborhood.
