Foote's Pond Park Reviews
An absolute find for nature lovers with a little... or more, time. Short trail along the pond but you have a spillway along a really interesting bridge, a gorgeous garden, a lovely butterfly/flower garden and also a dock area that is picture perfect. Not the biggest park on the block but it packs a punch in all the right ways. Kudos to whomever maintains this lovely spot. I was able to find a moment of peace in a busy week. There is resident owls as well but I did not spot them (just their home). The pictures should show you all you need to know.
Oct 16, 2024 · David KoblentzA small quaint quiet park with easy to traverse trails. There has been a recent renovation to try to increase and attract pollinators which means there are very pretty flowers around. The pond itself is home to several turtles. It's a nice spot for a short easy walk in the woods.
Oct 04, 2021 · Alexander KontoleonBeautiful small trail near Thomas Jefferson school. There are several places to sit and many trails to walk on through the forest that are both close to the road but feel very secluded.
Sep 01, 2020 · Jessica ScheerNice fairly level path thru a wooded/marsh area around a pond...maybe 1/2 mile. We enjoyed.❤️
Apr 07, 2024 · Melinda KempSmall but lovely little park. This year (2021) they did a major overhaul of the pollinator sections, which resulted in a very attractive and complex selection of flora, but seems to have resulted in far, far fewer butterflies. They also apparently increased the water level in the pond which flooded a small stretch of ground that was favored by quite a few migrating shore birds. Overall, these changes were a big swing but a miss for me and other bird and butterfly fans. Hopefully they will review the changes and plan better next year.
