Lidgerwood Park Reviews
My sister's job planted a tree for her here when she passed away. I visit it often. Nice break spot. There should be a plaque that was supposed to bear her name but it never surfaced. If it exists I'd love to have it. Or give it to my mother or one of my sister's children
Apr 05, 2025 · Mark BarbaraA lovely park for basketball, tennis, kids playground, walk dog, or just sit around on a good sunny day doing nothing.
May 07, 2023 · Sunny OrchidWonderful place for all activities!
Mar 25, 2025 · Valeria AThis is the neighborhood park and our kids are there nearly every day with their friends. The old growth trees are lovely and make the park special. The town is great about replacing and adding new trees like oak and sycamore. Lidgerwood has many features including a gravel walking path around the park, a softball and baseball field. There's a decent playground for children with wood chips, benches and shade. The restrooms are sometimes closed during the day. It would be nice if they could be reliably opened, especially for young kids. There's a shady area with several picnic tables. There are four tennis courts which were resurfaced within the last year. Best of all, the basketball court has just been refinished and looks terrific (thank you)!! One last wish is that more trees are planted along the south and west sides of the basketball court. The grove of trees just misses it and it gets blazing hot during the summer. I think that Lidgerwood park is used more than any other park in town. So proud to live in a town that cares about its parks.
Jun 25, 2021 · F. DeGeorgeNice playground for younger kids, fields are ok but could use some maintenance. Parking along street so it may be tricky on busy days to get a close spot. Tennis courts as well but we didn't check them out so no comments on those.
