Garfield Park Reviews
Nice park which includes portions of the Morris Canal Greenway and several historical markers with the history of the Morris Canal, especially the Jersey City extension. The Morris Canal was closed down in 1924 but important remnants remain throughout Northern New Jersey and Jersey City. When it was built, it was a technological marvel for its time including the unique 23 inclined planes to overcome the considerable elevation changes throughout its course.
Aug 22, 2022 · Nils PaellmannPretty nice park! Probably the best park in Jersey city. The Harriet Tubman art is beautiful. This park is diverse, with multiple different sections for varied activities. The only issue is during the summer the teens get out of control with the fireworks. Pointing and aiming them at each other & every once in a while one ends up firing in the children’s play ground. They need patrol in the evening. Currently, it’s a disaster waiting to happen and this has been going on for 2years now.
Jun 29, 2024 · Lanisha moystonNice playground and park for kids.
Aug 14, 2024 · Regina RamirezThe splash pad/sprinklers is extremely boring. They could have added some type of equipment like other playgrounds for kids to enjoy.A few spots of water coming out of the ground isn't fun for anyone over 5.
Sep 13, 2022 · Queen RoyaltyGreat exercise equipment, play area for kids and the sports fields are amazing but there is absolutely no shade and the play and exercise areas gets extremely HOT. So it forces you to cut your time there down to just a few minutes.
