This park has come a long way in the many years I have known it. As a former lifeguard at the pool in this park I can tell you it was not all cardinals and redbud trees back in the day. Today it is absolutely lovely and a special place for the local resident to come sit and enjoy nature. In the summer the park will be packed with kids coming swimming and folks picnicking all around. So lovely to see the NYC Parks Department making an impact all over the city. - Scott Laine
