Harlem Vista Hotel Introduce
This introduction provides information about the Harlem Vista Hotel, located at 75 Macombs Pl, New York, NY 10039, USA. It is crucial to note from the outset that customer reviews for this establishment present a stark contrast in experiences, with significant concerns raised regarding cleanliness, customer service, and the nature of its primary clientele. This objective overview aims to present all available information, including these critical customer perspectives, within the context of a "Scenic Spot" platform category, while issuing a strong advisory to potential users.
The Harlem Vista Hotel is situated at 75 Macombs Pl in the vibrant neighborhood of Harlem, Manhattan. This location places it close to several key landmarks and transportation options, which could be considered advantageous for exploring New York City. The hotel is conveniently located right over Macombs Dam Bridge from Yankee Stadium, making it a potential option for those attending events there. It is also centrally located in Northern Manhattan's historic district, providing access to Harlem's rich cultural heritage, including historic architecture and a dynamic local atmosphere. Public transportation is readily accessible, with various subway lines (3, B, D, A, C) and bus routes (M2, M10) within walking distance, offering easy connectivity to other parts of Manhattan and beyond.
The immediate environment around Macombs Place is typically urban, with a mix of residential buildings and local businesses. However, it's important to consider the context provided by some reviews. One review mentions, "The Outside Of The Establishment Is Beautiful, Have Halloween Decorations Outside Which Is Cute." This suggests an effort to maintain some aesthetic appeal from the exterior. Despite this, the nature of the reviews strongly indicates that the internal environment and operational standards may not align with the general perception of a conventional hotel. The neighborhood itself is a "Scenic Spot" for its historical significance and cultural vibrancy, but the specific property's internal environment appears to be a point of contention among guests.
The services offered by the Harlem Vista Hotel are subject to highly contradictory feedback, which is a significant factor for any prospective guest. On one hand, a review states, "Its actually a VERY CLEAN short stay spot thanks to ammonia and or bleach.....but I was surprised honestly how well maintained they had it. Only 60$ for 3 hours, but how much stamina do you really think you have? Half yall done within 30min anyway." This comment, while crude, suggests a focus on cleanliness for short-term use and an awareness of a specific type of clientele. It also explicitly mentions a "short stay" option at a specific price point, indicating a service model that differs from a traditional overnight hotel.
Conversely, another review provides a damning indictment of the hotel's cleanliness and customer service: "AVOID, it's a dirty filthy place. Housekeeping doesn't do a good job. Bathrooms are dirty. There is hair everywhere in the bathroom... I Paid Get Into The Room Automatically Roaches On Wall Next To Bed. I Go Down To Speak To Someone At Front Desk I Was Given No Help , No Nothing ! Then Throughout The Night The TV Was Acting Up And Once Again I Paid $205 For This Bullshit No Refund Nothing ! It's Totally Unfair For Hard Working People To Get Their Money WASTED With No Care In The World DO NOT GO HERE !" This feedback points to severe issues with hygiene, pest control, in-room amenities (TV not working), and a complete lack of responsive customer support, including a refusal of refunds. It also highlights a significant price point for an overnight stay ($195, plus $10 for a remote, and an additional $205 for a smoke room), which, if accurate, appears exorbitant given the reported conditions. The direct contact numbers are (917) 507-4140 and +1 917-507-4140, but the negative review suggests that contacting them may not lead to resolution.
The features of the Harlem Vista Hotel, as gleaned from reviews and its own website, indicate a focus on basic accommodation with some potentially unconventional offerings. The hotel markets itself as "now under new management have been recently renovated to provide you with quality accommodations at any time of the day. We provide clean and affordable pricing for those wanting to visit the great city of New York, or one of our millions of denizens that just want a night out." This suggests a renovation effort aimed at improving guest experience and a flexible pricing model for both short and longer stays.
A key feature, as explicitly mentioned by a reviewer, is the "short stay" option (e.g., "$60 for 3 hours"). This type of offering is typical of "no-tell motels" or properties that cater to hourly rentals, which is a significant aspect to be aware of. While the website emphasizes "quality accommodations" and "clean and affordable pricing," the contradictory review describing roaches, dirty bathrooms, and malfunctioning TVs directly challenges these claims. The availability of amenities like a TV in the room is implied, but its functionality appears unreliable. Other information found online suggests that the hotel does not offer a pool area, pet-friendly facilities, or dedicated parking, despite some general search results that may incorrectly attribute features of other hotels to this specific property. It's important to rely on specific, direct information for this address.
For local users and visitors considering the Harlem Vista Hotel at 75 Macombs Pl, New York, NY 10039, it is imperative to exercise extreme caution and fully understand the nature of the establishment based on the highly divergent customer experiences. While the hotel's website promotes itself as a renewed, clean, and affordable option with a convenient location near Yankee Stadium and Harlem's historic district, the direct customer reviews paint a troubling picture of potential hygiene issues, lack of customer support, and an operational model that caters to very short-term, hourly stays rather than traditional overnight hotel guests. The phone numbers (917) 507-4140 and +1 917-507-4140 are provided for contact.
Given the severe negative review detailing "Roaches On Wall Next To Bed," "No Help, No Nothing!" from the front desk, a malfunctioning TV, and "No Refund Nothing," along with an accusation of "money WASTED," prospective guests are strongly advised to prioritize their safety, comfort, and financial security. The contrasting positive comment about cleanliness, while present, is overshadowed by the detailed negative account and the explicit mention of an hourly rate. As a "Scenic Spot" within Harlem, the location may be appealing, but the reported internal conditions and service quality of the Harlem Vista Hotel should lead to a critical assessment before any booking decisions are made. It is highly recommended to seek out more consistently well-reviewed accommodations if a traditional, clean, and comfortable hotel stay is desired.

Oct 19, 2024 · Bryanna SanabriaI went there with my fiance and the place is filthy. The sheets have stains on them and the bedspread has stains of blood and sexual juices on it. The towels have public hair. The TV Is broken. The shower has cold water and the room has Water bugs and bedbugs in the bed. We both got bit.
Jul 18, 2024 · Morris LevineWe always have a problem with TV service, and they don't reimburse you for it no matter how much you complain. However, the price is not bad for an overnight stay. Rooms are not bad for price.
Aug 28, 2024 · SHARON E TYLERThis place is disgusting. The rug in the room was filthy like it's NEVER been cleaned. People yelling in the hallways and there was this crazy bell ringing that happened EVERY 30-35 mins. WORST PLACE IN HISTORY
