Haven Motel Introduce
For New Yorkers and visitors alike, navigating the diverse lodging landscape of the five boroughs can be a unique experience. While Manhattan boasts its luxury high-rises and boutique hotels, the outer boroughs often offer more practical, straightforward options that cater to different needs and budgets. In Rego Park, Queens, the Haven Motel stands as an example of such an establishment: a no-frills accommodation designed for those seeking a quick, convenient, and often budget-friendly stay. It's a place that prioritizes direct utility over extensive amenities, serving a specific niche within the bustling New York lodging market.
Motels, by their very nature, traditionally offer direct access to rooms from parking areas, emphasizing convenience for travelers on the go. While urban motels like Haven Motel might not always fit this traditional mold due to space constraints, they retain the ethos of straightforward, utilitarian lodging. The Haven Motel is part of the extensive network of local businesses that cater to the diverse demands of New York City's transient population, from those needing a temporary respite to individuals conducting short-term business in the vicinity. Its presence in Rego Park, a well-established and accessible neighborhood in Queens, speaks to its role as a practical option for immediate lodging needs.
For locals in New York, understanding the different types of accommodations available across the city is key. Haven Motel fits the bill for a particular kind of stay, prioritizing efficiency and pricing. As customer reviews indicate, it's a place where expectations align with a direct, "straight to the point" approach to lodging, rather than a luxurious retreat. This distinct identity helps New Yorkers and those visiting for specific, short-term purposes to find exactly what they need in the city's vast offerings.
The Haven Motel is conveniently located at 6805 Woodhaven Blvd, Rego Park, NY 11374, USA. This address places it directly on Woodhaven Boulevard, a major thoroughfare in Queens, connecting various neighborhoods and providing significant accessibility. Rego Park itself is a well-established residential and commercial neighborhood known for its diverse population, shopping centers, and good connectivity within Queens and to other boroughs.
Accessibility to the Haven Motel for New Yorkers is a significant advantage, particularly for those relying on public transportation or driving:
- Subway: While not immediately adjacent, the nearby 63 Dr-Rego Park station (serving the M and R subway lines) is within reasonable reach, often a short bus ride or a walk away. These subway lines offer direct connections to Manhattan and other parts of Queens.
- Bus: Woodhaven Boulevard is a major bus corridor. Multiple MTA bus routes, such as the Q11, Q21, Q52-SBS, and Q53-SBS, run directly along Woodhaven Boulevard, with bus stops likely very close to the motel's location. These routes provide excellent connectivity to various parts of Queens and beyond.
- Roadways: For those driving, the motel's location on Woodhaven Boulevard offers direct access to a key arterial road. It also provides relatively easy access to major expressways such as the Long Island Expressway (I-495) and the Grand Central Parkway, making it convenient for travelers arriving by car from different parts of the city or Long Island.
- Local Convenience: For residents within Rego Park or neighboring areas like Middle Village or Forest Hills, the motel is a highly accessible option for a quick, local stay without venturing far.
This prominent location on a major commercial street, combined with robust public transportation options, makes the Haven Motel a highly accessible choice for its intended clientele in the New York metropolitan area.
The Haven Motel operates as a "no-frills" establishment, focusing on providing straightforward lodging for quick stays. While specific detailed service lists are not always advertised for motels of this nature, based on customer reviews and the typical offerings of such establishments, one can infer the primary services provided.
- Guest Rooms: The core service is the provision of private rooms for overnight or short-term stays.
- 24/7 Check-in/Front Desk: Motels often offer round-the-clock front desk service to accommodate varied check-in times, catering to the immediate needs of travelers.
- Basic Amenities: Rooms would typically include essential amenities such as a bed, a private bathroom (with a toilet and shower/bath), and a television.
- Parking: Given its location on a major boulevard and its nature as a motel, it is highly likely that some form of on-site or adjacent parking is available for guests, which is a significant convenience in New York City.
- Privacy: The format of a motel often provides direct access to rooms, which can offer a sense of privacy preferred by some guests for short stays.
- Direct and Efficient Process: Customer feedback like "Very straight to the point no frills type of place. Quick stays are cheap and fairly priced. They have great business practice. 👏🏻" indicates an efficient and uncomplicated check-in/check-out process, focusing on speed and practicality.
It's important to note that extensive services like on-site restaurants, fitness centers, or concierge services are generally not the focus of a "no-frills" motel. The value proposition lies in efficient, economical lodging.
The Haven Motel, despite its "no-frills" designation, possesses several key features and highlights that make it suitable for its target clientele in New York City.
- Affordable Pricing for Quick Stays: A standout highlight is its reputation for being "cheap and fairly priced" for "quick stays." In a city known for high accommodation costs, this affordability is a significant draw for those on a budget or needing very short-term lodging.
- Straightforward and Efficient Process: As noted in a customer review, the motel is "very straight to the point no frills type of place." This efficiency is a major highlight for guests who prioritize speed and simplicity over elaborate services, allowing for quick check-ins and check-outs.
- Convenient Location on Woodhaven Blvd: Being situated on a major Queens thoroughfare, Woodhaven Boulevard, provides excellent access to local amenities, public transportation, and major roads, making it easy to get to and from the motel.
- Accessibility to Public Transit: Its proximity to bus routes on Woodhaven Blvd and a reasonable distance from subway stations (like 63 Dr-Rego Park) ensures that guests can navigate Queens and beyond with relative ease.
- Privacy and Direct Access: While not explicitly stated, motels often offer more direct room access, which can be a preferred feature for guests seeking a greater degree of privacy or convenience compared to large hotels.

While some reviews highlight aspects like "old and small" rooms or noise, these comments underscore the "no-frills" nature. For those seeking basic, practical lodging at a competitive price, these characteristics might be acceptable trade-offs for convenience and affordability in New York.
Specific, publicly advertised "promotions" or "special offers" for the Haven Motel are not provided in the available information. Motels of this nature, which focus on budget-friendly and quick stays, often rely on competitive base pricing rather than complex promotional schemes.
However, the very essence of the Haven Motel's offering can be considered a continuous "special offer" for New Yorkers:
- Competitive Pricing for Short Stays: As highlighted by a customer review, the motel is known for being "cheap and fairly priced" for "quick stays." This inherent value proposition, particularly in the expensive New York City market, serves as its primary "promotion." It consistently offers an economical option for short-term lodging needs.
- Value for Specific Needs: For individuals or couples seeking a quick, uncomplicated, and private place to stay for a few hours or overnight without the formalities and higher costs of larger hotels, the Haven Motel's direct approach and pricing are its main draw.
Potential guests interested in any specific rates or package deals should contact the motel directly using the provided phone numbers. It's common for such establishments to offer varying rates based on the length of stay (e.g., hourly rates vs. overnight) or day of the week, which might be communicated directly to callers.

It caters directly to the need for quick, no-frills, and budget-conscious accommodation, which is a significant demand within the diverse lodging landscape of New York City.
Firstly, its location on Woodhaven Boulevard in Rego Park offers excellent accessibility. For residents of Queens or those needing to be in this part of the borough, the motel is highly convenient. Its "great business practice," as noted by a satisfied customer, points to an efficient service that values direct transactions and immediate accommodation. Haven Motel Reviews
For what it is for it's ok. Pretty old and small. Rooms need a makeover. Was funny to see explicit content on the tv a soon as we turned it on. Probably the people before me. toilet kept making noise every 5 minutes. Made it hard to sleep. I could hear the next door over clearly. Sounded like they were having A LOT of fun. Paid 130 for the night but would say 80 would have been more worth it.
