Hershfield Park Reviews
Grew up in Pompton Lakes. Lived on Garden Rd. less than 5 min walk from park.Left NJ in '87 and went back to visit last year. Somewhat the same. Some swings are still broken and everything seems smaller.... Ha!Still pretty quiet. Still got ducks in the summer and geese in the fall. I can remember fishing, swimming, and just generally goofing off at Herschfield in the 70s and 80s as a kid. Played football (PLYO) and baseball there and was always there on Saturdays to watch the Cardinals home games. Miss it.

May 31, 2024 · Wm. Ryan ChurchwellNice quiet place to park and enjoy my lunch. You can also enjoy the river which has good fishing I'm told.
Jul 24, 2024 · patrick postiglioneIt is not the newest or shiniest park. But the tennis courts are brand spanking new. We love the rest of the park. It's our local go to spot. A few things need attention. For instance two of the swings are broken. Otherwise we enjoy going whenever we can.
