Hilton Short Hills Reviews
Stayed 5/25-5/27. Upon arrival valet was welcoming and parked/brought a bunch of our bags up to the room, thank you again. Upon check-in the front desk person with big hair was miserable, both upon arrival and departure (annoyed, possibly sick of people in general, didn't even attempt to fake it). Room was nice for what it was, prepaid non-refundable. Lack of prepared coffee for free in the morning was more than disappointing (other reviewers agree). Marriott 4 star hotels provide, the morning dining option was un-inviting and overpriced, this is where I was to get my coffee? Who wants room brewed at a 4 star hotel. Inside pool was topnotch, nice outdoor pool an option as well. Played tennis at the courts which were locked upon arrival. Downstairs parking garage hallway smelled like cigarettes and plumbing? Stay was enjoyable with family overall, actually played catch with a baseball in the outdoor green space. After checking out I did notice an additional nearly $100 charge on my creditcard, which after calling customer service and the manager, I am told is being resolved/reimbursed. I would consider staying again based upon the competitive nightly rate but overall this first experience was lackluster.
May 30, 2025 · Simon SolomonA perfect stay at Hilton Short Hills. From the moment we arrived, we could feel the difference. The staff is highly trained, kind, and professional. Everything is handled with calm, order, and excellence. The restaurant also deserves 5 stars. First-class service, attentive staff, and delicious food. As someone with prediabetes and high blood pressure, I was truly impressed to find such a nutritious and well-balanced breakfast. A perfect combination of flavor and wellness!Thank you for such a complete and comforting experience. We’ll definitely be back. 🌿🍳🥑
May 30, 2025 · Mayra SueroRoom and location were fine. But don't expect any complimentary coffee/tea in the hotel or in your room. There was an old coffee maker in the room but with no coffee supplies or cups. Lobby coffee only has coffee for purchase at $4 a cup. Sorry, this doesn't cut it.
May 19, 2025 · Luanne Duncannegative reviews kept me away from this hotel for some time until i finally to decided to give it a try. I stay in hotels frequently (diamond member) and this is my 3rd stay here and I will be coming back. Great service from hotel staff. Matthew GM is very approachable, had a chance to chat with him via email and I was amazed by his outstanding customer service and experience. Some reviewers called hotel outdated, but I still think it is beautiful, maybe not modern rich but classic rich, a lot of luxury details. Garage is not that bad and not scary at all. It is 2 floors down, a lot of space, secure, available EV charging. Give this hotel a try and don't turn it down based on negative reviews.
May 14, 2025 · Bakhrom AhmedovThis hotel has become very run down and both rooms I stayed in - a king and a suite - were not cleaned well at all. So much so that I was uncomfortable staying. I couldn’t control the temperature and it was very hot. The staff is friendly and available however they need to do a better job cleaning the rooms and updating worn and old furniture. The location is good and I wish they would bring this hotel back to the way it WAS: clean - pretty and welcoming. Don’t waste your money - this is not a 4 star hotel.
