Hotel Alameda Reviews
My friend and I booked Hotel Alameda very last minute, but it ended up being everything we were looking for. The room was clean, the bed was super comfortable, the AC was strong (a must in NYC), and the staff were incredible.I had read a lot of mixed reviews before booking, so I was definitely a little worried. But honestly, if you’re unsure, just look at the photos to get a clear idea of what to expect. The bathroom is small, but that’s pretty standard for New York hotels. The mattress in our room was technically on the floor, but it was still really comfortable and we had zero complaints. So don’t let the negative reviews scare you off.The staff truly made our stay even better. They helped us extend our booking, gave us a later check-out, offered a steamer for our clothes, and even stored our luggage for free so we could explore the city before heading to the airport. Every person we spoke to was kind, helpful, and accommodating. And the rooftop? The views were amazing. Just a heads-up, it’s only open on weekends and I believe it opens around 3 PM, so plan accordingly. We also went out one night and checked out the club and bar downstairs which had such a fun vibe.Overall, Hotel Alameda totally exceeded our expectations. Would absolutely stay again! Thank you the amazing staff we met that made our stay even better!
May 30, 2025 · Andy LawterNice hotel, nice location, but the rooms need maintenance. Staff was very kind. The shower knobs were partially broken. The particle board throughout the room is chipping and water damaged in places. The bathroom door is slanted and doesn’t close properly. Also the sink is so small you end up splashing water all over the bathroom. Seems like they chose style over functionality. Great water pressure though! For how expensive the rooms are I feel they could be in better shape. Also the roof bar was closed for private events the 3 nights we were there, morning and night.
May 06, 2025 · AdamI celebrated my birthday at Hotel Alameda High Line and I couldn’t have asked for a better place. From the moment we arrived, the team made everything feel special—warm, thoughtful, and truly attentive to every detail. As an actor, staying here felt like stepping into my own New York movie. The vibe, the architecture, the neighborhood... everything had that cinematic charm that makes you feel part of the city’s rhythm. Waking up with views of Chelsea, walking the High Line just outside, and winding down at the rooftop—it was all unforgettable.I’m incredibly grateful for the experience and the care we received. Celebrating my birthday here made it one for the books. Can’t wait to come back.
Apr 03, 2025 · DanielbaronamxI stayed at this hotel for one night (would have stayed longer but the hotel was sold out for the next few days).I had a great stay at Hotel Alameda. My check in experience was wonderful (all credit to the individual that checked me in - very friendly, informative of the area and kind) and really made me feel comfortable throughout my stay. This hotel is on the high line so that feature immediately made this hotel very special. There are a load of galleries that are about a minute from the hotel - where I met a few amazing artists while in the area. I wasn’t able to checkout the rooftop bar but did spend some time working in the lobby and on the terrace which was quite peaceful and a quiet corner for such a busy area. This is a place that I am actually booking again due to the proximity of where I would like to be (along the high line between the Whitney Museum and Hudson Yards area). It’s a very well connected spot and is pretty well accessible for transport too.The only critique I would have is the rooms being cleaned - I had a nice room with a truly amazing view but if housekeeping could spend some extra time deep cleaning the rooms I think that would be helpful.
Apr 26, 2025 · Juliana JI was impressed with this hotel. They’ve done a good job on the revamp. It is the perfect place for a getaway and offers better than average sleek modern rooms in a discreet location. The neighborhood is up-and-coming. It’ll be great in a couple years, but not much around at night except for the night club around the corner (marquee). The night auditor Martin was extremely helpful and pleasant. Made the check-in process wonderful. Rooms are modern and neat beds down on the floor (for those who might have knee or back issues be aware of this).
