Important Note on "Resort Fees" / "Destination Fees":
It is crucial for potential guests, especially New Yorkers planning a staycation, to be aware that Hotel Indigo Williamsburg - Brooklyn charges a "destination fee" (sometimes referred to as a "resort fee"). This fee, which can be around $40 per accommodation, per night, is charged on top of the room rate and city taxes. As highlighted in customer reviews, this fee may not always be clearly explained at check-in and covers amenities such as gym access, smart TV casting, bike rentals, and pool access (when open). Guests have expressed frustration when the covered amenities are either already "free" (like Wi-Fi for loyalty members) or seasonally unavailable (like the pool in colder months), yet the fee is still applied without clear upfront communication.
Therefore, while exploring promotions, always pay close attention to the total price, including any additional fees. It is highly recommended to contact the hotel directly via phone (718) 577-2525 or review the detailed breakdown on the booking platform before confirming your reservation to understand all charges and what they entail. This proactive approach will help ensure a transparent booking experience and avoid unexpected costs.

Hotel Indigo Williamsburg - Brooklyn by IHG Reviews
Not going to lie, I’ve passed this location 100+ times living here in NYC. Never did I know or imagine a hotel being located right off of Metropolitan Ave. The front desk staff is very hospitable, well-versed and patient with the guests. The property is rather modern and clean. Hallways offer a calm and private ambiance when walking to your room. Quick elevators and decent amenities (restaurants, room service and snacks) on site. Rooms are nicely lit with minimalist design. Very cozy and make you not want to leave the room. Nice public spaces throughout property to take phone calls, sit and relax, do work or socialize (inside and out). I believe there’s a rooftop pool and gym as well.
May 21, 2025 · Russell BraithwaiteDecent hotel with nice lobby bar area, lively restaurant and rooftop bar. Great location. Constant stream of people coming in to events at the restaurant - accessed directly through the lobby so hotel isn’t exclusive to guests and can feel extremely busy at all times of day and night. Area around the hotel feels safe and has a number of restaurants and bars/ coffee shops. Very walkable area. Only negative with the room was the lighting- there is a large circular led on the ceiling and then 2 awkwardly placed high beam spot lamps that would work better in a medical office than beside a bed.One issue that ruined the experience was a large “resort fee” (for Brooklyn??) which was not explained or covered at check in. I queried after reviewing receipt and was told it covered gym, smart tv casting, bike rentals, a pool -that was closed - and WiFi that I already get for free as a gold status member. Absolutely furious to be charged for things that weren’t mentioned at check in and couldn’t be used anyway due to seasonal closure. What’s the point in having an amenities charge and not telling people they have access to amenities?? Manager was adamant no refund and I see several other comments here mentioning the same issue. I can’t see why the reception isn’t retrained to mention these “benefits” at check in. It’s outrageous to charge for things that aren’t covered at check in or even useable (in the case of the pool I didnt know the hotel had a pool until I googled it!). Absolute rip off charge on top of the expected city taxes so this has put me off staying again.
Apr 22, 2025 · JThe hotel room was sooo nice. The drinks were great and the French fries from the carribean spot were good. The staff was uber nice. The bar and grill on the roof was spectacular with a great view. I will definitely have to go for the pool during the summer as well. Everything was very clean. I liked that you couldn't go to other floors except what's on your hotel room key card. The elevator had a scanner for the card to allow it to work. Thanks for a great stay.
Apr 19, 2025 · CC's Fitness Hour Lets Motivate To Lose Some WeightWe stayed at this hotel over the weekend for a wedding nearby. I had no issues with the service during a relatively brief stay, but I thought the amenities were extremely lacking for the price of the hotel. The bed was rather uncomfortable and old-fashioned feeling, and the room had a somewhat low quality, style over substance look and feel. While things were relatively clean and look like they were at least attempting to be chic, I feel as if I would have had more pleasant and comfortable stays in classic suburban Holiday Inns and the like. The shower was nice! But overall, I didn't feel like I was getting much value at all for the extremely high price I paid.
Feb 20, 2025 · Ethan SchollI had the best time staying at this hotel away from the city. The room was extremely comfortable, with a stunning city view, a cozy bed, and a luxurious tub—perfect for unwinding. The hotel’s modern design, from the chic lobby to the stylish bar and restaurant, really set the tone for a premium experience. A special shout-out to Nayeli at the front desk, who went above and beyond to assist me multiple times throughout my stay. Her warm and friendly demeanor made my experience even more memorable. I’ll definitely be returning!
