Hotel Le Bleu Introduce
As New Yorkers, we know that finding the perfect hotel, whether for visiting friends and family or for a local getaway, involves a unique blend of convenience, character, and practical amenities. Hotel Le Bleu, nestled in the vibrant Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, offers a distinctive boutique experience that aims to provide both style and substance. Located on 4th Avenue, this hotel presents itself as a modern and inviting option for those looking to explore Brooklyn's charm while maintaining easy access to the broader New York City landscape.
Hotel Le Bleu prides itself on a chic design aesthetic coupled with thoughtful in-room features, distinguishing it from more conventional accommodations. While some guests have shared experiences that highlight areas for improvement, particularly regarding communication around parking and certain service aspects, the hotel consistently receives positive remarks for its clean rooms and its strategic location. For those who prioritize a contemporary setting and excellent subway access to navigate the city, Hotel Le Bleu offers a compelling choice.
Understanding what Hotel Le Bleu offers, from its modern rooms to its connectivity, can help you, as a local, guide visitors or plan your own staycation. It's a hotel that aims to blend a sophisticated vibe with practical considerations, providing a comfortable base from which to discover the cultural richness of Park Slope, the dynamic energy of Gowanus, and beyond.
Hotel Le Bleu is ideally situated at 370 4th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11215, USA. This address places it at the edge of the highly desirable Park Slope neighborhood, a locale celebrated for its brownstone-lined streets, independent boutiques, diverse dining scene, and leafy green spaces. The hotel's position on 4th Avenue also borders the dynamic Gowanus area, known for its artistic community and industrial-chic venues. This unique blend offers guests the charm of a historic residential area combined with the edgy appeal of an evolving industrial zone.
Accessibility is a significant highlight of Hotel Le Bleu. The hotel boasts excellent proximity to several key subway lines, making navigation throughout Brooklyn and into Manhattan exceptionally convenient. The Union Street subway station, serving the D, N, and R lines, is just a few blocks away, typically within a 6-minute walk. The 9th Street station, also serving the D, N, and R lines, is similarly close, providing multiple options for rapid transit. These lines offer direct and efficient routes to major Manhattan destinations such as Times Square, Herald Square, and Downtown Manhattan, often with a travel time of under 20-30 minutes.
Beyond Manhattan, the hotel's location offers superb access to prominent Brooklyn attractions. The iconic Barclays Center, a major venue for sports events and concerts, is approximately 1.1 miles away, easily reachable by a short subway ride or a pleasant walk. Prospect Park, Brooklyn’s expansive urban oasis, offering walking trails, cultural events, and family-friendly activities, is also within comfortable walking distance (around 15-20 minutes) or a very quick subway trip. The Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Botanic Garden are also easily accessible, making it an excellent base for cultural exploration within the borough.
For those arriving by car, the hotel's proximity to major roadways, including the Gowanus Expressway (I-278), facilitates relatively easy driving access. While the hotel states it offers limited on-site parking on a first-come, first-served basis, it's important to note that this availability cannot be guaranteed, as indicated by guest experiences. However, numerous commercial parking garages are available in the surrounding area, though they typically come with an additional cost. For air travelers, both LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) are within reasonable driving distance, accessible via a combination of public transit and ride-sharing services.

For New Yorkers, Hotel Le Bleu offers a unique blend of style, convenience, and functionality that makes it a suitable option for a variety of local needs. While recent guest feedback highlights specific areas that require attention, particularly regarding communication about parking availability and an isolated but serious incident of room access, it's crucial to assess the hotel's overall suitability from a local perspective.
Firstly, its prime location at the nexus of Park Slope and Gowanus is a significant draw. For locals hosting out-of-town guests, this means visitors can experience the authentic charm of Brooklyn without sacrificing access to Manhattan. The immediate proximity to the Union Street subway station (D, N, R lines) is incredibly valuable, ensuring that guests can effortlessly navigate the city's extensive public transit system. This ease of access can significantly enhance the experience for visitors who may not be familiar with New York's layout, and it provides a convenient meeting point for locals and their guests.
Secondly, the hotel's modern and stylish design offers a refreshing change from more generic hotel chains. For New Yorkers considering a staycation or a brief escape within the city, Hotel Le Bleu provides a contemporary and comfortable environment. The in-room amenities, including high-definition TVs, mini-refrigerators, coffee makers, and comfortable bedding, contribute to a pleasant stay, allowing for relaxation and convenience. The presence of a dedicated workspace also caters to locals who might need a quiet environment for remote work or studying.
The hotel's commitment to providing amenities like free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk also adds practical value. For locals who might be undergoing apartment renovations, needing a temporary place to stay due to unforeseen circumstances, or simply looking for a convenient base near a specific Brooklyn event, these features ensure a smoother and more connected experience. While the limited "first-come, first-served" parking has been a point of frustration for some guests, for many New Yorkers who rely on public transit or ride-sharing, this might not be a significant deterrent.
In summary, despite some noted service inconsistencies, Hotel Le Bleu's core offerings – its excellent location, stylish rooms, and key amenities – make it a viable and often appealing choice for New Yorkers. It's a pragmatic option for accommodating visitors who desire a taste of Brooklyn's unique character with strong city-wide connectivity, or for locals seeking a modern, comfortable, and well-located temporary retreat within their own dynamic borough.

Hotel Le Bleu Reviews
My fiancé and I came across this hotel due to the booking website through travel points - booking.com. We were excited to come visit because it was close to the train station, in the location we wanted, and included parking. Trying to find the hotel was a little wonky because the maps took us to the U-Haul store right next to them. The actual establishment is small in reference. Check-in was a breeze, the room was clean, and was given our parking pass. By the time we came back later that night, we come to find out that parking was first come first serve. I asked the concierge about where to park and they were un empathetic, unapologetic, and lacked hospitality - he said to find street parking and that was it. The funny part was the security guard sleeping in the lobby. We weren’t informed of this during the time of our booking, nor during checking in, and not even told by the concierge while getting our parking pass. As someone who has worked as a concierge, it is to the best interest to keep the guests well-informed and accommodated. I have never received service like this before, and expected better.
Mar 19, 2025 · Virginia OstorgaPrivacy and Security breach during my two nights stay at this hotel in April 2025. Shortly after checking in and while I was at dinner the hotel front desk checked two men into my room. They gave my room keys to two other guests and deactivating my room keys. When my cousin and I returned to the room, we couldn't get in and thought it's an easy fix, just a glitch with the key cards. As we turned away from the room towards the elevator, TWO men were coming out of OUR ROOM. The hotel gave them our room, with all of our belongings in it!! The hotel made no effort to quickly fix the issue and it's been over a month and I'm still waiting for the partial compensation that was promised. Everytime I called the hotel, the front desk tells me they can't do anything and to speak to the manager, the manager is never there. Terrible customer service, terrible management and terrible experience. I do not recommend anyone stays here.
May 17, 2025 · Fatma HassanWe had a great stay. The hotel staff were amazing and super friendly. They even upgraded our room. Free parking on site and the rooms were spacious and clean. Would definitely stay there again.
Mar 23, 2025 · Matthew Di RienzoI was so happy at my stay at this hotel in Brooklyn . The staff is very friendly. It’s in a great location close to Park Slope with great dinning and stores. My son lives very close and with his growing family I decided to stay at this hotel. I will always stay there when visiting my family.
May 02, 2025 · Eileen GergerianThe room itself was fine. Nothing special, but it was clean and had everything I needed for a night's stay. The issues I had were more with service. I already emailed the hotel directly twice and have heard nothing back in weeks. Upon arrival there was only one person at the front desk and came to find out it was his first night. Felt bad for him - he was doing everything he could, but there was a full lobby of people trying to check-in. Finally, someone else came out to help but only because there was apparently a patron calling from the elevator... because they were stuck in the elevator. Then, a manager came out. So while the lobby was full, and there were 3 people available they only had one *new* person at the desk and only came out because they found out someone was stuck in their elevator. Took over 20 minutes to check in. And then I had to walk up 7 flights of stairs with my luggage because the elevator was stuck. Luckily, I am able-bodied - but no one even asked if I needed help or offered any apologies that I'd be lugging everything up 7 flights of stairs. The fire department had to come while it was taking forever for me to check in, and I heard the manager complaining to someone on the phone angrily saying, "The elevator is not working AGAIN." So this is clearly not a one-time, bad timing type of thing. I had to go up and down these 7 flights multiple times during my stay, and the elevator was still not working the next day when I checked out. I wouldn't have bothered to leave a review if they had responded to my queries on their website. But no one has responded, so the service continues to be the issue there.
