Hotel Mulberry Reviews
Great Hotel in Chinatown. Subway stations close by. We were able to walk to The Brooklyn Bridge, 9-11 Memorial, Little Italy, SoHo and Wall Street. Subway options were convenient for going to Times Square, Central Park and anywhere else that you want to go see in Mid Town and Uptown. Our room was clean and spacious. Housekeeping did a fantastic job of tiding up our room each day. We had plenty of room for 4 people in our room with 2 queen beds. The view of the park and downtown was perfect. Front desk people were friendly and helpful. Price was reasonable. Would stay here again.
May 25, 2025 · Lori Kragel**Mixed Experience: Fantastic Location but Be Cautious with Valuables**I write this review with a balanced perspective, as my experience was mixed. Starting with the positives, the hotel is in a fantastic location in Chinatown, close to great eateries, opposite a lovely park, and conveniently near the subway. Our family room was enormous! The main area had one bed, a kitchenette where we could prepare meals, and a full-size fridge. There was also a bar with stools for us to sit at. Off to the side was a small alcove with a second bed. The room was clean, well-maintained, and although in need of a renovation, it offered plenty of space. Now for the negatives – we had a deeply concerning incident where our child's prescription medication went missing from our locked hotel room. While we acknowledge that we should have locked it in the safe before leaving for the day, the fact remains that it was gone when we returned that night. The hotel staff were helpful in searching the rubbish to ensure it wasn’t accidentally thrown out, but unfortunately, we ended up without our daughter's medications for a week. This situation was incredibly distressing and unacceptable as we had to lodge a formal police report at a local NYPD Precinct.Additionally, the hotel uses a centralized temperature control system, so you can't regulate the temperature in your own room. They keep it quite warm, making it hard to sleep comfortably. When they switch it to cool, it becomes very cold.Overall, while the hotel has many great qualities, I recommend keeping your valuables, including medications, securely locked up when staying here, as we found out that room security is not guaranteed.
Apr 28, 2025 · GordonVery niceNo issues.Room was very spacious. Hotel room service came every day. Staff very friendly. Temperatures in room where what we wanted. Queens beds were comfortable & lines smelled good. I’d stay here again & would recommend it
May 25, 2025 · Carolyn OhmesOur first time staying here. Prime location - minutes from lower east side and little Italy not to mention being in China Town was very cool. No noise from the outside got in the room. For our room they had beautiful large windows that opened and we had an amazing view of a park where kids play soccer, basketball, tennis, among other things. It was honestly fun to people watch while the community enjoyed the park. The weather at the time was great so we kept the windows open the entire time to let the cool air in. The room itself offered comfort and simplicity. The room and bathroom was very clean and we had plenty of towels. The bed was very comfy as well as the sheets. I absolutely want to stay here again. Cool lobby. I hope this hotel keeps up the amazing work.
Apr 05, 2025 · Amanda RiveraWould really recommend this hotel for a stay in NYC. Nestled in Chinatown and walking distance to the subway and Brooklyn bridge. You can easily see all the main attractions from this base. Bed was very comfy and the room was clean. Staff were nice, free coffee each morning and they held our bags for us on the last day. Good value for money.
