Insignia Hotel Brooklyn, Ascend Hotel Collection Reviews
Overall, I enjoyed my stay. I think this hotel is perfect for single travelers considering room size. The train nearby is very convenient. There were times where it got noisy but I knew it was hotel staff working which is good. I felt safe. I personally enjoyed the china town element as I felt thrown into so much Asian culture and community. The bathroom was very clean. Breakfast downstairs isn’t anything to heavily depend on but there are options if you absolutely need it and are hungry, you should indulge. I felt the staff overall seemed kind and helped with whatever I needed. Blankets could be thicker but I’m sure if you ask for an extra one, they’d provide it. I visited Brooklyn for a birthday party and got in late one night and the front desk worker (I think his name was eric) was very kind. I would stay here again if I was traveling solo to New York. It’s a good price for a New York trip compared to other hotels if you’re looking to save some money.
May 12, 2025 · Bryshan WhiteThe hotel was conveniently located, the rooms were very clean. The only criticism I had was that the mattress was too form. However, where the hotel shines is with its staff. We left two items in our room, when we left. When I noticed that we had forgotten the items, I phoned the hotel expecting the things to be gone, but the Housekeeping staff had followed hotel policy and put the items aside in case I called for them. The honestly and integrity of the staff is sadly missing in many other places today. Bravo!
May 28, 2025 · Thea HarringtonIt is good price and max 3-4 minute walking to N Metro Station. Otherwise the location/street/surrounding nothing positive to mention about. Breakfast really basic and same every day. Some hotel residents quite shady. Reception was rather unhelpful and no coffee provided on daily basis. You have to go downstairs. Street very noisy. Beds very small, double bed cannot fit 2 adults on width and length. Elevator can be waited ages.
Apr 21, 2025 · Krystian TonewMy room was very clean but didn’t have a fridge, so be mindful of that. Washroom clean…Seemed pretty modern. Only gripes are how thin the blankets are (especially for winter time in New York), and how much noise there was. Not just in the hallway (at random hours), but in the room as well. The vents and the plumbing from the floor above can be heard at all hours. Short walk (2min) to a subway station which is somewhat convenient considering the location isn’t. Staff was present/available but not particularly warm or inviting. There’s only one elevator and it wasn’t the fastest but there aren’t that many floors and the stairwell was clean and well lit. All in all it was just an okay place to stay. Relatively safe and clean.
Jan 31, 2025 · N AFirst off, they don't have any amenities that's on their website. There is no parking unless you pay an additional 30 dollars, or if you're lucky, you can find a spot on the street. I just hope it doesn't get broken into. The Staff Erik! Unbelievable, nothing I've seen before. I asked for soap to take a bath, and the dude gave me 1 small tube, which was very serious as to the policy of the hotel. Do you mean to tell 1 tube of soap is enough for 2 people? IH, is this really how you treat your Platinum members. Someone needs to do something this place is not friendly at all. If I had somewhere else to stay I would be there..... never again
